Today's Photo Hunt word is one of my favorite words!!

Mom here: I have loved coffee for as long as I can remember. Currently the brands above are
in my pantry..(not stored on the bed).  Sometimes I add cinnamon to my coffee.

 My Dad used to jokingly say,
my Mom put it in my bottle when I was a baby...No true but I will admit I come from a long
long line of coffee drinkers.  No family gathering is complete with a a pot of coffee brewing.
No matter the time of year. 

The perfect mug makes the coffee taste better too.  Here are a few of our favorite coffee mugs
l-r our bird mugs, Grove Park Inn mugs, Tryon Palace and The Swag mugs
and Mom and Dad mugs our Daughter and sil gave us for Christmas last year.

Of course the perfect mug and the perfect coffee is complete without the perfect coffee maker and
grinder.  

Carrots: The rest of the story

On April 5th mom was trying to convince me to eat a carrot
click here if you missed that saga.  I had a hard time convincing her I don't like my food to be technicolor and most of all I'm a meat eater!
Below you will see me plundering* through Mom recycling bag that she takes to the grocery store every Thursday

*too bad plundering isn't a Saturday Photo hunt word..this would be a great Photo.

Actually I was hot on the trail of something 

It had an earthy scent..you know kinda like catnip...
I gave several bags a sniff...

then lo and behold out of no where I found it...
the carrot bag OMCs I love essence of carrot

probably better than essence of catnip

I rolled all over it trying to absorb every last ounce 
orange aroma

Hey mom next time just give me the carrot bag w/o carrots...
it is divine...

Oh and I learned another interesting fact about the word carrot from my very smart friend Bertie the most handsome Wirehaired Fox Terrier.  He was recently translating one of his scientific papers from French to English... he said French for a 'core' of rock translates back into English as a 'carrot'! 
Bertie you are so smart and funny!!  Thanks for sharing this tidbit Bertie I had no idea I'd be able to use it.

We hope to have some flowers by next Friday!

Thursday Tush Tales

The tale here is that after 87 years of blogging and downloading photos with Niki our S8100 Nikon,

mom loaded this one some crazy way...she cannot edit to make it lighter.....

 I was gonna ask if this angle made my tush look huge

you can't see my tush because it is dark!!

so this was a very happy accident!!

HAPPY HAPPY .......

Birthday to the best Dad I know!!!

Yesterday mom came home with Dad's Baskin Robbins I Scream cake...

I gave it my sniff of approval.  Spring my stuffed bunny approved too!!

 As if an I Scream cake is fun enough, GUESS what...

the cake maker at Baskin Robbins made it larger than what mom

ordered...but she only charged mom the price of the smaller cake...

Flavors: Vanilla on the outside, chocolate cake inside with chocolate chip I Scream....if you are in the vicinity come on over there is enough for every one!!  
PS I was the oldest in the house...now Dad and I are the same age
14!! 
MOL don't tell him I told you.

Oh and since it is Dad's day I might not be around blogville as much as usual today.  Mom and Dad are doing stuff Dad wants to do today.  

Tuesday Tale and B.A.R. STREAMing

Mom told me it was harmless...and I should take advantage of it's warmth in the morning.  The only shadows I've ever seen in  sun puddles are mine

 Me, myself and my shadow gave it a look see but the verdict is still out.
