Kinda selfie of my sleet covered driveway and Gracie my Car at the end
We are calling the little guy in the right corner Slick the Sleetman
Thank you all for you kind words and birthday wishes to TROGM....
in spite of the sleet (which she did not request for her bday) and the extremely cold temps she had a very nice bday. Weather update: we had about 6 hours of sleet after we got up. It started snowing at about noon, snowed for 2 hours. Then the sun came out partially. About 2:30
TROGM aka Trog Mom decided to see if she could walk down the driveway.
Fortunately there was a nice powdery layer of snow on the sleet made for easy walking.
I expect all that will be frozen tomorrow.
Our power stayed on, we were warm and our bellies were full.
I'm glad your human had a nice birthday, Madi. Do you know, my human has never seen sleet!
ReplyDeleteStay warm and be careful on that slippery slope! We had a dusting of snow Friday afternoon and temps in the teens Saturday morning!
ReplyDeleteWe forgot about your Mum's birthday??? Shame on us. Glad to know she had a lovely birthday anyway.
ReplyDeleteOh, and a belated happy birthday!
Mara, Brom and Miss Oswin from Norway
Tell your mom to take it easy on those slick spots, Madi! It sounds like she had a great birthday!
ReplyDeleteOh sleet is ICKY and SLICKY! You tell your Mom to be careful out there....we just got a dusting of snow but last night when Mom and Dad were coming home from next door it was STILL slippery out there. Glad your Mom had a great birthday!! I love your "USSIE" today..........
ReplyDeleteHugs, Angel Sam
so glad you kept your power and what happened to the other half of TOGM??? hope you are not iced in today and the sun comes out and melts it all away...
ReplyDeleteSo glad the Mom had a good birthday even through all the bad weather. Also glad you made it through the storm. We did too. So nice to have electric. Have a great day and stay warm.
ReplyDeleteWe are so glad your power stayed on! This kind of weather... eek.
ReplyDeleteHahahaha. Slick the sleetman ... we love you, Madi. You always make us smile. You look like you're taking care of your mom in your selfies :)
ReplyDeleteSneaky Sleetman! That picture is something... Gracie must be really cold. At least she didn't take a slide on down the drive. Your weather update sounds good except for the 6 hours of sleet... whoa! We have ice in our forecast for Friday and Saturday but who knows what will be happening by then... I don't want NO ice! Yay for your power staying on. I think that is a very nice "ussie", Madi!
ReplyDeleteHey Madi!
ReplyDeleteWow, great selfies today and I like getting to see a little of your Mom too! I'm glad she had a good barkday despite the slickie sleeties. It's snowing in my territory right now. *sigh*

PEE S... we are STUNNED that your mom went out in that Slithery Sleet..
ReplyDeleteDoesn't she know that old song about ♫ Slip Slidin' away. Slip Slidin' away.. you know the Nearer the destination the more you go Slip slidin' away.
Hmmmmmm, we are thinkin' walkin UP the driveway might be the problem. That Frankie and MY Ernie are cards. Bet you'll be humming that song everytime you go out!
ReplyDeleteglad you had a great birthday. :) our driveway looks similar. we didn't lose power, thank goodness and I cooked a roast in our new pressure cooker. we had open face roast beef sandwiches..yum! I think today is a pizza day. :)
ReplyDeletedo you have street lights in your neighborhood or around town? we've noticed, compared to Orlando, that the neighborhoods here and even major highways are lacking street lights. we don't like it, especially with all the deer. :(
we're still house hunting. lol
Full steam ahead (and maybe it will melt the sleet/snow)! We are on standby for freezing rain on top of our snow!
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
Sleet is nasTY!!! Glad your power stayed on and you had full bellies and all!
ReplyDeleteCammie!
Happy belated birthday to your mom! Glad she had a good birthday, but sad to hear the weather was so icy and icky. Sleek, yuck!
ReplyDeleteWe are about the same only the other end of the temp scale, somewhere in middle would be good.
ReplyDeleteMerle..............
Ooh! You've got yucky weather Miss Madi, though it is quite pretty! Your mom looks like she's half the person she used to be!! MOLMOL x0x0x
ReplyDeleteI am glad your mom enjoyed her birthday. We get sleet far more than we get proper snow and I don't like it because it is cold wet and slushy on my paws.
ReplyDeleteNice ussie :) Glad your Mom had a nice birthday.
ReplyDeleteAw good to see you!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh no, I missed her birthday! Hope she had a most wonderful day filled with all kinds of fun. Also, hope you had a very Merry Christmas! We don't have any snow up here, but it is COLD. Your neighborhood looks so pretty covered in white!
ReplyDeleteIt must have been hard for Gracie to make it up the drive. We're glad your mom had a good birthday, Madi.
ReplyDeleteLove the ussie as well as the selfie :) Tell your Mommie happy belated birthday from all of us please Miss Madi.
