This series of shots with my iPad taken in about a 30 minute span

WE saw this speed limit sign at a shopping center near our hotel, Courtyard by Marriott
in Glenwood Springs, CO. June 20, 2017
Madi moves faster than 12 1/2 mph when stepping off her perch.
This was our view from our hotel room in Glenwood Springs, CO
Few statues outside the Marriott
Kai is a sweetie! THat is a strange speed limit
ReplyDeleteCrikey Made .... you've got the life. I love your perch. Hand made especially for you!! You're pretty spoilt ..... just like me, aye?? Mum loved those statues. Especially the little girl reading. AND the big red hill behind your hotel room. It reminded her of Alice Springs in Australia.
ReplyDeleteG'day Kai ...... I would have played with you. You look like a happy bloke.
I would so love to play with Kai. He looks a load of fun.
ReplyDeleteToodle pip!
Bertie.
MOL, as fast as my human walks, she might break that speed limit!
ReplyDeleteKai can come to me... I would love to play with him ;o) I hope the sign is still at this shopping center and you didn't adopt it... then Madi had to pay a fine now LOL

ReplyDelete... I might manage the half... &*>... whoever saw such a sign - 10 maybe, 15 maybe... but 12.5??? ...mind you, that does just about equal 20KPH, which is the legal top speed in Edinburgh city limits now - because too many pedestrians were at risk and also congestion is so bad, that is often the fastest one can go anyway! ... wait there, you just know this needs further investigation right???
"Downtown merchants frequently
complain that highway traffic, and the speed of the traffic, is detrimental to their customers and their
businesses. The intent is to make pedestrians in the area feel more comfortable crossing the highway
and coexisting with the traffic through the area, and to better give drivers the sense that they are
traveling through an area that they share with pedestrians"
That quote is from page 48 of this document, which was riveting reading... and great wee maps at the end... This related doc was interesting too... wonder how much has been implemented?...
What can I say - was just curious. It's that cat in me... and I sit on a seat beside a window just as you do Madi!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
That's a cute speed sign......! Sure looks like a beautiful area with lots of cool sights to see.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam and Teddy too
You have the perfect view from your perch, Madi! What a funny speed limit sign☺
ReplyDeleteMadi that is such a perfect place for your perch. Glad you are enjoying it. Those statues are terrific. Be kind of hard to measure 12 1/2 for a speed limit. Have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteMadi, moves at her own pace.
ReplyDeleteThat's a weird speed limit sign. Love the multi-colors on the building. I love all the rocks, I'm a nut for rocks.
Kai, you are a beautiful pooch.
you know I love Kai and that is what Baby would do at the park, she never wound down and could run for hours... I find that I take more photos with my tablet than my camera now... ha ha on 12 and 1/2...
ReplyDeleteTwelve and a half?? That is a weird sign.
ReplyDeleteMara from Norway
Are you watching bird TV?

Wow, that speed limit is one mom hasn't seen before. And Kai, you are so adorable.
ReplyDelete12 1/2?! Now that's funny!
ReplyDeleteI love that shot of you dangling your paw off your platform!
Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher
PS: Mom sees the specialist Monday. Finally.
Kai is just so very handsome - he reminds us of our Angel Gypsy cousin!
ReplyDelete12 1/2 - that is really funny. We wonder how many vehicles have those 1/2 m.p.h. markers on their speedometers:)
Woos - Lightning and Misty
Enjoyed the collage of your perch with a perfect view! !2 and one half... befuddled is what I am.
ReplyDeleteYour window perch looks pawesome. Pigeon likes to lay on our window seat. She probably needs a special cushion too.
ReplyDeleteMadi action shots! Those green, orange and tan buildings look European.
ReplyDeleteAt first you might think the colors on the building are too bright. But they actually blend in with the colors of the mountain behind it.
ReplyDeleteSay hi to Kai for me!
We enjoyed your iPad photos and our Mom really enjoyed your vacation photos!
ReplyDelete12 1/2??? How interesting!
ReplyDeletehugs

ReplyDeleteAhh that 12 and a half speed sign was going so slow it could not even make it to the top of the pole it was on. Jeez is that speed to keep you from running over turtles? I love the statue with the reader, why I would try and sit with her.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog
Sweet William The Scot
I would have liked to have been in on the meeting where the powers that be all sat around and came to the conclusion that 12 and a half miles per hour was a good choice. It seems very odd. I wonder if they had their ideas written on little pieces of paper, and someone put that one in as a joke, but it ended up being chosen!
ReplyDeleteI miss Jack. But Kai is super cute!
Great photos of Madi and your vacation, Kai is a cutie too.
ReplyDeleteKae is absolutely beautiful! What a great array of pics!! Looks like a fab place to visit!!
