  2. The cat before Sparkle was an expert squirrel catcher! This didn't make my human happy, however.

  4. I think I would be a better squirrel fighter ;o) my granny learnt this lesson too with an eggs-pensive anti-mole tool... the moment she saw her brandnew gadged surrounded by 3 giant mole hills was epic ;O)

  7. toooo funny we both ha ve squirrels today and my first one is eating the flowers not the dirt like yours. Pam said on her blog cayenne pepper sprinkled around kept the squirrels out of her bird seed

  8. Hehe, those squirrels are cheeky.
Dad luffs the squirrels and when he found they were digging Mum's bulbs out of her garden pots he used to sneak out in the morning to cover their tracks in the hope Mum wouldn't notice and just think the bulbs had rotted away on their own (it didn't work, she's daft just not that daft!)

  9. Oops, it is that time of year. The squirrels dig in what potted plants I have left and take out all the flowers while burying away acorns. Little stinkers!

  10. Ebil squirrels have made my mommy the maddest I have seen her. They destroyed so many flowering bulbs.

She loves deer, but they too come in the yard and eat the 10# of sunflower hearts down to nothing in a day (and night) and a half and the birdies get nothing. Those hearts are expensive and that's what makes mom mad. She had to give up after awhile as it was too expensive.

  14. This is the first year Mom can remember since we moved to Kansas that we have had such a big population of those tree rats. We can't figure out what they want in our yard as we have no nut-bearing trees, but they are driving US nuts too.

  17. Those pesky tree rats can't resist a potted plant.......they dig all through my Mom's deck planters and "plant" acorns while digging up everything else in there they can find. BOOOOO! Can we get a squirrelvise on Amazon?

  18. mom had to laugh at the waste of money item. She once bought some stuff that was supposed to repel dogs (trying to keep Hazel & Greta from eating the plants). You would have thought she sprinkled doggie cocaine on the ground - Bailey was sniffing it up like crazy BOL!
