Take 2...Tuesday

Greetings my friends, one of the two of us
mom set auto post on yesterday for 2 posts.
So there are a few of you who might experience yesterday's news TODAY.
And we mom apologizes.

Now for my regularly scheduled programming

****************

Oh Joy!!! my compound meds arrived on Thursday 12/14 from Roadrunner Pharmacy in A Ri Zona.

AND OMCs they also sent me two mices... that rattle.  That was kinda weird but they are cute.

Mom broke open that capsule mixed it in my foods and I A T E it!

I ate it at my place mat on the floor but then I jumped in the chair quick as lightning
so mom move my bowl.  After the photo op,
I did smack the rest of it up and Poof it was gone!!

Mom was so thrilled because to get that nasty squirt stuff in my mouth required at least 2 times of prying my mouth open.  She could not squirt 100mg in all at once because it just rolled right out.  So that med was requiring a total 4 times of prying...then at 9 pm one more prying for my reg pills.
She is quite thankful not to have to do that 5 times a day.  She has to open my mouth where my fangs hang out and she has been worried I'd bite her by accident and that would not be fun.

  1. MOL! We kept seeing that GRITS cushion, but couldn't get the post. That sounds like a win-win for everyone. Glad you found an alternative to the liquid.
We're not sure about rattling mice....

  4. Madi that's just great all the way around - your Mom doesn't get her hand chomped on now AND you get your meds in a much BETTER way! Sounds like it works for you AND for her and wasn't it a nice touch for them to send you two mousies as Christmas presents too?????

    Hugs, Teddy

  9. When Dad and ghostwriter owned a pharmacy, they had several kinds of flavorings (like fish, beef, etc.) just for compounding medicine for pets. Hope the medicine works well for you.

  10. We think this is just wonderful, Madi. Mom used to have a hard time getting Phantom to take his pills. She would have to switch it up between peanut butter, canned food, ice cream, yogurt, cheese, and on and on. Thank dogness and catness for compounds.

  13. Great job, Madi! What a gift you're giving your Mom! I never really appreciated how good Bear is until I tried to pill Ellie. I even sprung for those pill pockets ... which worked exactly ONCE. We're so glad you're eating and taking your meds, Madi.

  23. Being able to get the meds compounded makes such a difference! Hazel's gabapentin was a liquid that had to be refrigerated and then shaken for like 5 minutes before using the syringe to measure. Now it is in treats that mom adds to her breakfast and dinner.
