Terrific Tuesday News!!

Dearest furiends and staff it is the mission of this itty bitty kitty blog to keep things
real and true...............so without further ado let me share something with you.
Over the last few weeks FOR some reason I am not jumping up on anything.
The peeps put me on this bed to do my subq treatments.
Afterwards I stay there unless interrupted by the invasion of the photo snapper.
and then I jump down easy peasy.
I was having the same issues when trying to jump on my beloved LOVE seat.
Which is not high........so GUESS what TOGM did.....last Tuesday she bought me an

When I first saw it, I gave it my sniff of disAPPROVAL  and moved on.
You know what she did....she (wo)man handled me insisted that we we practice, and practice using it.
She put me on the stool and then I'd step up to the LOVE seat.  Often I would walk around the
stool giving it the once over but not using it.  THEN Friday, May 25 Dad was watching
some TVeees and I decided I wanted to watch too.  Mom was not home but when she got home Dad
said guess what, Madi used her stool all by herself.

There are two things to be learned from this post
1. you can teach a Senior Cat new tricks
2. Practice makes PURRFECT

And yesterday I discovered it makes a purrfect itty bitty kitty table

In case the video doesn't come up here is a photo

  2. that was a super idea to make it easier for you... and we all know that you are always the master of the most legendary leaps of blogville.... I got such a step stool too as I was a puppy... it was a foldable thingy and after I ate one of the hinges, the whole thing collapsed...

  7. Good gilr Madi, for jumping up on your stool. We have several cats here who have trouble jumping up on things. That stool will make it much easier for you Madi. You just had to get used to it. Have a wonderful day.

  12. You are keeping it real fur sure! Glad you found something that helps you out but perhaps a rebounder (mini-tramp) would work better! Then your mom could spend her days constantly relocating it to places that you might want to jump. Yes, we are sure that is a great idea. Just get on her computer or ipad and order one up!

    Keep Calm & Jump On!

  13. I'm going out right away and purchase one of those for Angel! She jumped up onto her favorite napping place, but her back legs barely made it, and I'm thinking she can use a boost. Nicely done, Madi and Mom!

  21. I've added transition items to make the larger jumps easier for Bear - but either he's too stubborn (most likely) or he's not having problems yet. I haven't tried to really train him though and I WILL do that. Thanks!

  23. Madi, humans are a lot like you - we hate to use things that might help us - like hearing aids, bifocals, or canes because we don't like to think how it makes us feel...but then when we use these things and find they really do help and make things better for us - Purrs and Paws up for you & Mom !

  30. Well Madi I think that stool is a perfect multi-purpose bit of royal furniture for the Princess of the house....a step stool or a table - whatever works right? I think it's wonderful that your Mom and Dad recognize when something will make life easier for you and take care of making it happen. YAY FOR THEM!
