Thoroughly poetic pictorial Thursday and Firstie

Today we join Two  SPOILED CAT
Angel Sammy and Teddy for their poetic pictorial poem.

Here is today's photo prompt

Times gone by

Clothes drying, gentle breezes creating a line dance,
oh those were simpler times.
No need for  fancy detergents with artificial smells to wash away grime.
Fresh air and sunshine were plentiful no one spent a dime.

Speaking of Teddy and Angel Sammy I was one of 4 firstie commenters  on yesterday's
Angel Sammy thanks for the lovely firstie award

  5. Oh Madi! What a wonderful and nostalgia filled poem AND indeed - Divas should not be doing laundry.....maybe lying in the laundry basket but not doing the work. Love your graphics - you look great in those jammies! Thanks for playing poetry with us.

    Love, Teddy

  6. Mom says there is nothing better than sliding inbetween sheets that have been dried on the clothesline. You are too cute in your pink jammies, Madi!

  7. We agree, that clothes that have been dried outside are the best. You all have a fantastic day.

  9. Congrats on First Commenter! Cute post today with you hanging out the wash, Madi! I look at that picture and think of my Grandma and that is a fun thought this morning. True your poem... a simpler time. Fresh air! We could use a little fresh air and a breeze right now in sultry Florida-da-dee!

  12. Madi, once we had to beat clothes clean on rocks, so the inventions of the washer and closelines was a terrific thing!

  13. Madi you look Pawfect hanging those clothes out. your mom did a positive spin on the prompt, mine was negative when I saw it. I flipped back in time to when I had two sons both in REAL diapers that needed to be washed and dried and folded and put back on the boys... and before that years and years of hanging clothes out to freeze, bringing them in, sprinkle and roll, iron and fold.... that was my childhood. when the washer dryers came out in 1971 I was in Sears in a flash buying one

  14. We still like to hang some of the clothes on the clothes line. It makes them smell wonderful!

  15. UGH! I used to hate to hang out laundry but it was always better than sitting at the laundromat! Thank heavens for dryers! ♥

  17. Madi, your poem is well done and so true. Mom says she used to love to hang out her bed linens and then put them back on the bed. So fresh smelling and feeling. Now we live where we aren't allowed to even have an outside clothes line:(

  19. A lovely poem Madi. Mom remembers hanging our laundry when she was young. We can't do it here - too many birds would probably sit on it and poop and it would not be clean anymore

  22. A perfect poem. You know in the city in some neighbourhoods, clothes lines are illegal????

  23. If only the sun softened the clothes as well as dried them. But they sure do smell good.
