Wordy Wednesday: in one Word BUSTED

Back in late May I announced  that mom bought me a stepping stool
because I didn't seem to be able to jump into my love seat and White throne.  Getting down was no problem.

Mom called me a con artist......the 3 collages below (photos taken 7/22/18)  are quite incriminating.

Well it seems I was caught in the midst of a grand adventure and I might be busted...
might have messed up my gravy train...might have a hard time pleading my case as a poor pitiful
aging Senior Lady.

You see I thought my peeps were busy upstairs.  I made a wee too much noise mom came down to see what was what.  Dang iPad was handy and there is documentation.

Note from Mom:  In my humble opinion, if Madi(son) D Cat,can jump on the back of the chair,
I think she is quite capable of jumping into the chair w/o a Stool. I REST MY CASE

Note from Madi(son) D Cat:  Mom all I hear is blah blah blah.....I need the stool to conserve my energy so that I can jump on to the back of the chair!!
I REST MY CASE

Does anyone have anything to add to this saga?

  2. You are content with just a stool, Miss Diva Madi?
I think you should be demanding that a fully integrated elevator system be installed right away.

  4. I think you should let the humans keep the stool, Madi. I think it will make them feel more secure. Even though you and I know better. ;-)

  6. Look at you way up there explorin', Madi! Do you know that you were wearing a lampshade on your head!

  7. Madi, we are on your team. Notice the way you got down, from the top of the arm down to the arm of the chair. Plus you can hold on with you nice claws. Cats are very very smart. You all have a great day.

Not so much jumped as climbed, I think Madi, which does not require the aid of a stool. Climbing is not an option at the base-camp end of the chair and therefore steps are essential! Hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx (pee ess - what did you find at the summit?)

  9. You will let your mom know when you need to use the stool, Madi. Right up until his last week when he spent most of his time on our bed, Flynn would take a flying leap from the floor to the top of his cat tree. It was no use trying to stop him because it made him happy to still be able to do it.

  10. Oops, Madi you forgot to use those eyes in the back of your head to keep up with Mom and the flashy beast :)

  11. Photo evidence is hard to beat, Madi, so we'll have to come up with something else. Let's see..floor to chair seat, can't use claws, so stool needed. Back of chair, claws helpful in the climb..how's that? - Tom Fishworthy, Esq.

  12. I am here to represent the Diva!!! the distance from floor to seat is to high and no way to climb. the distance to the top of the chair allows the use of climbing up like the cat she is. leaping is harder than climbing. I rest her case... LOVE what your IPAD caught. Busted In Deed.....

  13. Yeah, I have something to add to this... Madi has you wrapped around her sweet little toe beans but we and you already knew that. Those pictures made me laugh out loud all by myself on the couch which always makes me feel foolish but happy! Also it makes my heart happy seeing Madi being a stinker because we were all pretty worried about her for awhile!

  14. I agree sweet Madi, the stool needs to be there for when you need it!

  15. That sounds reasonable, Madi. You can't be expected to do EVERYTHING yourself!

  16. We don't see why being on the back of the chair equates with jumping up from the floor. You probably used your claws to climb to the top which is not as easy to do from the ground up to the seat. We hope that explanation helps your case Miss Madi.

  17. All of the other comments have got it covered, Madi! You need the stool or you want the stool...same difference. If Madi says, "get me a stool!" then it must happen...end of story.

  24. I love seeing you with a lampshade on your head. Bet you forgot to censor that out of your mom's photos! Was it the Nip?

  25. You still got it, Madi, even for a senior catizen.

  26. Well, Madi, I think it's great that you are able to get around pretty good - but there is no harm in keeping the stepper around - I have arthritis and some days are achier than others. I'm pretty sure Mom wouldn't want you to jump and hurt yourself if you were feeling unsteady one day.

  30. You are not asking for anything unusual, Madi. Many people have foot stools, too. At least you didn't ask your mom to kneel down on all 4's so you could use her to get on the chair, much as a Diva and Princess might be expected to do.
