What's up at Manor Madi?

I've been tirelessly watching and wondering about all these
goings on too?

Let me just tell you this thing on my deck was very pretty in color but it was loud
Mr. F was building new top pieces for our deck planters...
this time they are made of hardi planck which is cement based

It is the hope of Dad of the Manor that the squirrels will not be able to
eat through the tops of the planters any more.

Planters and deck before
our deck is 16 years old so  the peeps decided to
to stain it Gray Birch rather than just a clear color.
It now has a new lease on life.  The beige planter tops are the
the new 'squirrel proof' tops we hope.

There have been worker bees inside too. Of course I inspected things thoroughly..
OMCs this is Dad's train room what in the world is going on in there?
Come back on Friday to see what is behind the plastic curtain

Hurricane update:
We are as prepared as we can get here.  Mom even has things ready for Sissy and BIL
and Mia and Frisco.  Sissy and BIL were on vacation in Maine.  They cut they vacation short by 3 days to get home.  They knew the pet sitter would not be able to get the the kitties once the
storm hits.  Sissy and BIL live on the NC Coast.  They flew into Charlotte tonight.
When they arrived they found out their flight from Charlotte to New Bern was canceled due to
the pending storm.  They rented a car in Charlotte for the 5 hour drive to New Bern airport where they left their car.  WHAT A day full of stress for them.  Mom told them they needed some serious kitty loving.  We'll talk to them in the am to find out their plans.
PS I've never met Mia and Frisco...in the furs...just via PicMonkey. MOL
Mom says I have mellowed with age.

Florence sure has done some wandering around before she decided to get down to business. Prayers that she loses steam and all is well with you. Hugs!

  9. Those durn squirrels. They could destroy an anvil. Ya already know they got into our tater's this year. I think they are also some of culprits in the great pear theft of 2018 too.

I tried figuring out where you are all at in relation to the coast and naughty Florence's path. Maybe you can circle it all on a map for us.

Be safe, I hope Marlu and Greg - Mia and Frisco all come to your house. They look really close to the danger.

  18. Your deck is looking lovely and we hope you have solved the problem of those tricky squirrels.

We think it has to be very stressful there in NC for you and for all the others in the path of this horrible storm. We hope your Sissy and BIL as well as Frisco and Mia make it safely to your place. And then you ALL need to stay safe. Lots of prayers headed your way from OP.
