Thoroughly Poetic Thursday

Today we join Two  SPOILED CATS
Angel Sammy and Teddy for their poetic pictorial poem.

Here is today's inspiration

Faith
by Angel Madi
They told me no you can't
It will crush you dead
Why because I am an ant?

Don't sit in the grass
by TOGM

If you are prone to bites,

where ticks, chiggers, fleas and ants reside
They  will make you scratch all nite, remember

Don't sit in the Grass

The  tiny critters find

their way in every crook and cranny
including your shirts, shoes and
panties all the way down to your *fanny.

Don't sit in the Grass

This is my last verse of  Don't Sit in the Grass.
A round of applause would be sweet as sassafras
I made it all the way to the end without being sassy by
 rhyming *with grass!!

  3. Well both of you did a fabulous job with Sammy's poetry challenge this week! I love both of these - for different reasons (!). You ladies ROCK when it comes to poetry.

  6. I wish I were as strong as and ant and could pick up things that way lots more than I do. I love the Don't sit on the grass poem, and can tell you I never would when young or now. of course now the reason is a crane would be needed to get me up.... living in the south we know what is in the grass

  8. So true. Do not sit the grass. The fire ants will get you. And that is not fun. You all have a great day.

  9. This wonderful poem should be included in any tourist guidebook targeted at British visitors to your part of the world. In the UK we don't have so many biting insects lurking in the grass to take us unawares, and so sitting on the grass is relatively safe!

  11. Great poems! And good advice too. (Chester picked up a tick last week. Probably from those crummy squirrels!)

  15. Lady would not have been mature enough to not use other grass rhyming words.

  16. We're afraid, SHE's have to use rude grass-rhyming words, too.

You reminded HER to put out the ant sand to keep the little buggers from digging in the lawn!

  17. We are lucky that we don't have fire ants in Michigan...yet!

  23. Yup, you did great! Yes, if you sit in the grass, it is very tempting to rhyme with grass! I'm glad that you didn't :)

  25. You definitely have my applause! Yeah, no sitting in the grass... I once did that in MO and had over a hundred chigger bites. I like Angel Madi's poem, just cause your small doesn't mean you can't be mighty!
