Snicker Saturday

We took a local road trip on Monday December 3rd,
starting on  next week I will tell you about it  on Tuesday and  Nature Friday

We saw this sign as we approached our main destination.
Thankfully we were both on dry land...and NO WORRIES neither of us
will disturb.  Monday it was 69 degrees and surely the snakes could have been slithering about
However, neither of us would have known if we saw it.

I'm here to serve and inform so here is a little bit about it.
Thankfully it is NONVENOMOUS; however, just seeing it would have made me
faint!!

Garfield is a hero to all Felines!!

  1. My human loves snakes, and she knows how to tell the venomous ones from the nice guys.

  2. Snakes give me the shivers! I love Garfield. I have the Daily Mail (paper copy) every day and that is the first thing I always look at.

  4. Hey, that looks like the water wheel at Historic Yates Mill County Park. Mom and dad were there with a friend a weekend or so back and dad's pretty sure he remembers seeing that sign. Venomous or not, I sure wouldn't want to come across one of those slithery critters!

  5. That is a big fat snake. I'm good with snakes as long as they stay outside. We found a few in the basement at the Tiny Ten... mostly Prairie Ring-Necked Snakes.
    Garfield cracks me up.
    Good Morning!

  10. I don't much like snakes and that one would have scared us. But it is good they have a safe place to live. You all have a fantastic day.

  13. They wouldn't have to warn us to not bother the snakes, yikes!

  14. Good grief! First I LOVE that sign, and secondly, no WAY would I bother them. And thirdly, I love seeing what they look like. Fanky!

  15. The Momster is terrified of snakes. Angel Thunder used to find snakes in the yard and toss them up in the air. Mom would get a shovel and toss the snake over the fence and far away!!!

Thankfully our tree is still standing:) SomePups are being good.

  16. I'm not a fan of snakes. I leave them alone and I hope they live me alone too.

Yep, cats and trees just don't go together.

Have a fabulous weekend, my friend. ♥

  17. Years ago, my cats' vet told me he'd treated a dog for a baby rattlesnake bite in March. The snake was warming on some cement. Baby rattlers are fully loaded and just as dangerous as the full-grown ones. I don't mind snakes...as long as they aren't poisonous.

  18. Public Access Prohibited....that's one sign we'd be obeying!

  19. We have a few snakes here but I leave them alone and they do the same.

    1. Me too. I almost stepped on one once. It was not poisonous but still like you I won't go near a snake. I say let them be.

  23. One thing we like about where we live is there are no venomous snakes. We do have garter snakes and they just scare our mom when she sees them.

  24. Yes - big snakes scare me too! I'm glad that you didn't see any!

  25. They wouldn't need the "public access prohibited" sign for me. LOL!!!

  28. I hate snakes. They better have a big sign saying it is protected or it will be endangered around me...

Garfield, my cats think you are their role model.
