Rectangles, Trapezoids and Triangles

Did the title grabbed your attention?

Recently while sitting on my tush in the office/exercise room

the sun was coming thru the skylight

casting wonderful shadows on my hot air balloon
Vertical Rectangle

I will be the first to admit Geometry was not my thing...but shadows are.
As the sun moved over the house, the title of the post popped into
My Mind's Eye.  Now I will share

How to make a trapezoid

An isosceles trapezoid is a trapezoid where the sides (legs) have the same length, and the base angles have the same measure. It has reflection symmetry. This is possible for acute or right trapezoids. A parallelogram is a trapezoid with two pairs of parallel sides,

Trapezoid slowing turning back into a rectangle
and finally as the sun leaves the room a triangle

  2. it's hard to believe that geometry is a kind of math... it is logical, so we have some doubts that there is really math behind hahahahaha

  8. Oh no! A math lesson! BOL! We love how your skylight sun puddles move across your room. We have lots of skylights too but right now they are covered in snow so no sun is getting through them.

  9. Very cool! Maybe if somebody would have taught me like you I wouldn't have FAILED Geometry! Your balloon is darling and I love the shots where the basket? is so distinct in the shadow. Triangle framed the light switch.

  20. Love the different shapes that the sun can make. I once has a long vertical sun line on my wall and spent quite a while trying to figure out where it was coming from. It was a puzzle
