Nature Friday....Bearly

First and foremost Happy Happy Happy Birthday
to my little niece RosySassyPants!!!๐Ÿ’‹๐Ÿ’
Hugs
Aunty HiC

Nature Friday is hosted by my Niece Rosy and her brudders, Arty and Jakey

Mom of Kat wants to make sure everyone knows:

We bring in feeders every night, and every time we both leave house  during the day.

Dearest Aunty HiC,
As I mentioned last week BooBoo the Bear stole Mom's suet cage full of suet.
Well, BooBoo must have enjoyed the suet because he returned for seconds today. Mom enjoyed watching him, before she told him to scoot. She would  love to offer him an apple, but it becomes dangerous for all involved when bears consider people as food sources. We’re happy to coexist, respect with our wildlife.

❤️ Kat Your Feline Nephew

Yo Lady that suet was so delicious I came back for seconds!!

Dearest Nephew,
Oh my BooBoo is quite brazen to come a callin' in daylight. I bet your mom used her very stern 'teacher' voice when she told him to scoot!!
Nope don't want him getting comfortable on your hill.  Maybe he will find a girlfriend SOON!!
Lovingly your Aunty HiC

Also please notice the new split rail fence that Dad of Kat just finished, pic #1.
Kat said the bear was nice enough not walk on it he ducked under it.

  2. Oooh, how I would love to have a bear visit our garden.
Gail says it might be a long wait and I will have to make do with her childhood toys Mr and Mrs Teddy.

  3. Yikes, a bear in the garden! He looks cute but you don't want him being a regular visitor.

My word - both enchanting and concerning - for both bear and residents! Is there a 'stun, tag, remove' policy in their area? YAM xx

  5. Booboo is a cutie but we hope he doesn't visit too often. We don't want anything bad to happen to him.

  6. He's a cutie! But yeah, it's best just to watch him be cute, not feed him too.

  7. Oh wow! Nope, don't want any visiting bears.

  9. No bears around here that we know of! Too many houses and people.

  10. It sounds like Kat's mom needs to get a bear proof feeder or Boo Boo will just keep coming back for more. He sure is cute to look at though.

  12. he is adorable, I have seen on the news some states are asking people to take in their bird food because the bears are eating it and then they get used to the food and keep coming back. that causes the bears to be tagged as a nusaince and sometimes killed. they said their is plenty of food for the birds to feed themselves right now...

  13. A proper bear in the garden? I would have loved to see that!

  14. Yup. Best to bring it in at night and it is true that the birds are getting plenty to eat by themselves. It's hard to go with that though when you love feeding them and seeing them. However, it is true.

  16. Aw, so cute, but I know it's not a good idea to feed him. They can make a mess of things when you do that.

Have a fabulous day and weekend. My best to your Auntie C. ♥

  17. We hope that bear finds some tasty food back in the woods so he doesn't get in trouble for coming to peeps' houses. KB has taught us all about that. But it is fun to watch him.

  18. A good idea to teach Boo Boo not to come to houses. It usually ends up bad for the bear! However, it was so wonderful to be able to see him. I suppose suet is off the bird menu for the rest of the year.

  22. I love seeing a bear, although I agree that it's better if he's more leery of humans. Those are great photos of him!

  24. YIKES!! Is that a baby bear? That would scare the beejeebees out of me!

  25. Looks like a baby - maybe on its' own just snuffling around for something to eat! I saw on the news this morning that there are more bear sightings in communities this summer than EVER. I think they're just hungry.

    Hugs, Pam
