Where we have lunch on Saturdays

Long time readers might recall my mentioning our most favorite
lunch cafe on Saturdays.  We have been going to Seaboard Cafe on Saturdays
for 20+ years.
It has everything, delicious food, lovely flowers,
friendly folks and TRAINS!!!

Daily Features board in addition to regular menu

FYI: Pickled Carrots are delicious
They have a sign above the door stating: "it is all good"! THAT is TRUE
Saturday I had a scoop of the Apricot-Almond Chicken Salad and Fresh Fruit Yogurt Salad.
Hubby has been getting a BLT all summer the 'maters are good and it is REAL bacon
not turkey bacon (which he gets at home).
The lady standing in the door below is Danielle...she has been there a very long time.

  2. I like the look of Seaboard Cafe very much! Never tried pickled carrots, and I didn't know there was such a thing as turkey bacon. Bertie wants to know if the cafe is dog-friendly, as he thinks the Carlos Burger sounds yummy...
    Cheers, Gail.

  3. You've talked about the cafe for so long I almost felt like I HAD seen it but these photos are just what I'd pictured - a welcoming, comfortable, happy, bright and cheery spot with trains! Such a great spot - lucky you!!

  9. We know the real reason you eat there is because of those trains. It sound like the food is good too.

  16. That looks like a wonderful place to spend a Saturday afternoon. I love old trains too. There is a train restaurant in Old Town Springs close to us. Are the carrots spicy?
