Sunday Sihouette

Silhouette
of the kitty is the subject of this post

This beautiful 3-leg table sits in our foyer.
I love the delicate edging around the marble top.
It was my Mother-in-law's.  Age unknown but if i had to
guess I'd say 90+ years.
The items on top were gifts to me from various
students at NCSU
Here are a few close ups.

It was made for this corner.

  3. the table and its contents is purrfect for that space, like it was custom designed to fit there. beautiful table, I love the edges of it.. and of course the shadows of the cat on the wall are purrfect also.... my aunt had a table similar, but it was much bigger around and shorter

  4. Very pretty table and the gifts from the students must be very special to you. Perfect place for the table. I have nesting kitchen bowls that belonged to my Grandma and I think they are probably around 90 years... it is really hard for me to wrap my brain around how old they are. I don't use them because they have small cracks but they are out on top of my kitchen cabinets. She used the largest bowl to make her potato pancakes... :) I am happy your Mom-in-law's table found a good home with you!

  8. Very nice. A table like that would not have survived in our house when the four siblings were growing up. A long time ago, according to GW, we had a tv stand that was a solid square box made of plywood covered with carpeting. It was impossible to damage or knock over, so perfect for a house full of kids.

  17. That's a delightful table! If we had it, however, Da Boyz would have knocked it over a dozen times already with their roughhousing!
