Thoroughly Poetic and Thankful Thursday

Today we join Two  SPOILED CATS
Angel Sammy and Teddy for their poetic pictorial poem.

Today's inspiration

Jitterbug

Dancers have great rhythm!
Movin' and groovin' to the tunes
They must practice their moves over and over.
He in the gym she in the studio
Cheek to cheek eyes locked on the other's
She must trust him as they bend and stretch
as he sweeps her off her feet.

Side story:
When I was a senior in high school, adult volunteers were needed.   My dad was an electrical contractor.   I volunteered Daddy to help with the lighting.  Daddy always had a good eye
for detail.  It was a magical night.
Little did I know, my parents and the other adult volunteers, would be asked to be chaperones at the Prom. When the music started, most of the kids didn't move.
The adults were the first on the floor...all about my parent's age.
Lo and behold they all started dancing the Jitterbug.
I had no idea my parents could move like that.

Dearest Aunty HiC
Guess what?!?
Today, 11/21, is Mom and Dad's 25th wedding anniversary.  💕
Pup and I are so very THANKFUL to be surrounded by their love and devotion

Mom says Dad still makes her blush. 😻
And Dad says Mom still makes him laugh. 😹
Sounds like the purr-fect combination for a successful relationship: love and laughter.
❤️ Kat Your Feline Nephew

Oh Dearest Nephew...
What gorgeous photos of your peeps taken there in Nevada. What a wonderful place to spend at 25th anniversary!!!
Yep they have found the perfect combination to happiness.
Lovingly your Aunty HiC

  1. Love the poem.
We didn't have High School Proms in the UK and I think as a teenager I would have died of embarrassment is my parents had come along and taken to the dance floor!
Happy Anniversary to Pup and Kat's Mom and Dad, and please thank them for the photos.
    Cheers! Gail.

LOL - it is one of those rights of passage when we are young, I think, to see our parents as young and fun people themselves!

Congrats to the Travellers for the special occasion!!! YAM xx

  23. I'm glad my son always saw me as the "cool" parent who could really dance. :) But I would have probably felt like you did when you saw your parents on the dance floor if my Mom had done that. Wishing Kat's parents many more happy years together. Amy
