Thoroughly Poetic Pictorial Thursday

Today we join Two  SPOILED CATS
Angel Sammy and Teddy for their poetic pictorial poem.

Today's inspiration

Hockey Sticks

This is getting old
He has been told
put my paper in the special box!!
"don't throw my paper in to the snow"
Now it is time to scold.
It makes me say HBO words such as
He-double hockey-sticks
by the time I finish my coffee will be COLD.

Poet's note:  I took a little creative liberty here.
Obviously anyone shoveling snow in their bathrobe
is angry about something.  I decided it was his missing newspaper.
He went out to get the paper which was buried in snow!!
We have issues with our paper delivery too.

  1. When I first glanced at the photo I thought it was a Scotsman wearing a kilt.
Best of luck with future newspaper deliveries!

  6. We had a neighbor when I was young that thought nothing of wandering out in his bathrobe. His daughter and I were best friends since kindiegarten. She was mortified every time he went out in it!!! Ha! You are probably right on with him shoveling to the paper!

  9. Dad says that guy must be a Finn. Dad is a Finn, and doesn't mind the cold. His college friends used to call him Polarbear because he'd come back from swim practice with his hair all frozen and white. Son Jason is the same way and his nickname is Toasty. He's that guy who wears shorts in winter. I dont think either of them have gone out in winter in their bathrobes, though.

  12. Guess we are lucky that our newspaper shows up on our porch every time! I've shoveled snow in my pajamas...with a coat and boots on...but cannot image showing the neighborhood my bare legs like that!!!

  13. What newspaper. We gave up on the newspaper years ago. I remember when just about everyone got the paper. Not anymore. I like your literary license though. Well done.

Have a fabulous day, Cecilia. Big hug. ♥

  17. Oh my - what a fabulous and hilarious poem! We have a similar issue with our USPS carrier who tosses boxes and mail into snow drifts.
