Sunday Wolfie Selfie

Years ago Raleigh commissioned local artists to make Wolves. They were to be placed
around the City for judging.  After the contest, they were purchased by businesses and citizens.
This one stands guard at Logan's Nursery.

  1. Very interesting. We have decorated rhinos all over town. They are so fun and colourful. Love the wolf.

  2. I love those. I saw elephants in Copenhagen (Denmark) and cows and even goats here in the Netherlands.

  3. I have seen models of different wild animals in various places I have visited. There used to be an life size Orangutan in a garden on the side of a road near me, but I saw it has been moved further into the garden now. It was probably distracting drivers!

  17. Chester mentioned the cows that were done around here but there were also horses here too. Did you know that wolf is decorated in a double wedding ring quilt design?

  18. Very nice. We had cows all over The Plaza several years ago, and now we see one occasionally in the yards of people that bought them. Another year they did Easter Bunnies. We think it would be great to do some of us Siberian Huskies, there sure are enough different colors:)

They had catfish in Jackson one time. I don't know what happened to them all though.

  22. That is so cool. The city where we used to live had fish sculptures made and put around the area.
