Crafty Saturday

Latest play mat for Project Linus
I had just a small piece of kitty fabric (at top) to make 2-5" sqs
I bought the pastel polka dot fabric which I used on the front and for the backing.
One thing I have decided is I am not a pastel kinda gal.

My stash consisted of several leftover 5" flannel sqs that I originally bought for
the play mat (below) that I posted several weeks ago.
Both mats are the same pattern; however, I really like the vivid bright colors on the one below.

I am kinda ambivalent about pastels, too... but there are plenty of folk who will love them, so don't hold back! YAM xx

  2. I like the brighter colors also but not everyone will feel the same way. Both mats are so cute!

  3. I love pastels, but I must admit: the one at the top looks a bit bland, especially compared to the other one. Perhaps I don't love pastels as much as I thought I did...

  10. Mom loves pastels, but we all agree that the one with the brighter colors really catches the eye.

  12. I think I may be a pastel kind of person....though the brighter one would be better for a play mat.

  13. That is so cute! Pastels have their place, but they aren't my first choice, either!

  15. They’re both really nice but the vibrant colors in the one really make it stand out.

  17. Should I ever consider quilting, I can already tell that I'd get hung up on matching colors and designs.
