Last week I decided it was time to finish using the leftover jelly roll I bought with Rt. 66 on it and RV's.
I used it on two throws and a table runner
I had two churn dash blocks (the design on the front of each pillow) made that were collecting dust.
I had just enough 2 1/2" strips of the Rt.66 RV fabric to
make borders to go around the blocks.
I made two new throw pillows
The red fabric on the back of each was also fabric I found in my
'stash'. The only thing I had to buy for this project was
a $10.00 bag of stuffing for the pillows. Not patting myself on the
back but I think pillows like these in a store could easily
sale for $30.00 each.

I think they look nice on the deacons bench and the family room
couch. No quilting on the pillows since they are stuffed.

ReplyDeleteWhat a shame you've got a TROLL as your first comment. I LOVE your pillow covers, Miss C. You sure are getting nifty with the designs! YAM xx
Bertie thinks his friends Kat and Pup would like the RV and Route 66 pieces!
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS! Really beautiful and congratulations for venturing into the world of pillows - they add SO MUCH anywhere they "land" and yours are really pretty. I have lots of pillows courtesy of my sister that grace various spots around the house. I think of her every time I see one.
ReplyDeleteLove, Pam
That look absolutely beautiful in place, Miss Cecilia!
ReplyDeleteThere for a second I thought we were going to talk about jelly rolls you EAT! Those are absolutely beautiful pillows!
ReplyDeleteThe pillows look great. Pillows are so easy to make, why waste money on buying them?
ReplyDeleteThose pillows are super nice. Well done. It makes everything look so pretty. Have a good day.
ReplyDeleteWhen you have the stuff to make your own it's not only fun but creative and you're right store-bought pillows are expensive. Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteOh please pat yourself really hard on the back. You deserve it for your beautiful projects.
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job. We love the ensemble of pillows and throw.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Miss Angel Madi and your pillows and throws. Yes those are expensive to buy in stores. I know first hand.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Big hug my friend. ♥
They're beautiful! I'm sure they would cost a lot if they were sold at a store!
ReplyDeleteBetcha Angel Madi is enjoying the new quilted piece, on her designated spot!
ReplyDeleteWow!! What a great idea...and very nicely done C!!
ReplyDeleteI wondered why you saved a jelly roll that long, then realized it was not the edible kind.. my mind always goes to FOOD... your home now says A Quilter Lives Here and says it well. Madi would love to lay on any of these. maybe not the pillows though. I love your deacons bench
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty things and yes, I'm sure Angel Madi approves!
ReplyDeleteC; these pillows turned out really nice; pat yourself on the back a few more times for a job well done; I'm thinking closer to maybe 40...45 $$ ☺☺♥♥
ReplyDeletePerfect pillows! Great use of the bits of fabric!
ReplyDeleteNot a criticism, mind you--but all the quilters I know have HUGE cupboards PACKED with fabric 'they might use one day'. Don't think you're supposed to use up leftover bits just save them...LOL! However love your efforts and the pillows!
ReplyDeleteYou are a busy little beaver!!! Love those pillows.
ReplyDeleteWoos, Lightning and Timber
Those came out great. And you are right, they would go for at least $30. XO
ReplyDeleteThe quilt is beautiful. If am sure Madi would love it.
ReplyDeleteOh, those are FABulous!!!! I would totally pay a zillion green papers for those!! Do you take Fleasa?? hello???
ReplyDeleteKisses,
