Symmetry Saturday

We are continue our walks five days a week. OUTSIDE the mall all around the parking decks
and parking lots.

These photos were taken yesterday, March 20, 8:30 am.
Top two feature the resident crows trying to
Socially distance themselves from the paparazzi  aka me.
They were squawking too.  Top right is a pretty good photo of them
fleeing.  I don't normally capture birds flying...
There are a few cars of the employees of many cafes that are trying out
curbside service only.

Parking deck outside the food court at the mall.
All cafes inside the mall are closed.

  1. Everything looks deserted, but we are the same here. Everything apart from shops and takeaways closed from last night.

  2. Yep - things are shutting down everywhere but we still have the wide open spaces to explore! I think all malls are officially closed here although we never frequented the one in Manassas anyway which is the only one around our area.

  3. we are still walking the neighborhood and bob has been a couple of times to fly at the park, it was empty.. these are sad photos of the empty lots and buildings. we have an over abundance of crows right now, and they are the biggest we have ever seen. and noisy. yesterday one in a tree outside the window sounded like a yelping puppy

  6. I wish we were neighbors...oh my. I'd love to go walking with you both too. Here there are no malls and no covered areas The rain keeps me out of all the parks as it is so hard and daily. And think of all we could talk about! :-)

  7. Jerry and I went downtown yesterday, he wanted to pick up his two croissants for the weekend. Restaurants are still open and have seating at 50% capacity. There were a few people eating outside. It's a strange sight. Beaches closed. I stayed in the car and nobody was in Croissant and Co. We have an unusual amount of crows this spring, don't know why.

  12. We're glad to hear you are still able to get out for your walks. Those crows sure can be noisy sometimes can't they?

  15. Looks like a ghost town. I noticed traffic has been a little less, but that's about the only difference.

  16. What an eerie feeling. Things are grinding to a halt.

  17. Cows socially distancing themselves...now that's funny. I've not been further than the grocery a mile down the street, so don't even know if our mall is open.
