Thoroughly Poetic Thursday #11

Today we join Two  SPOILED CATS
Angel Sammy and Teddy for their poetic pictorial poem.

Here is today's inspiration

The Door
**Door Hunter, was a blog in Prague.
I found it shortly after start my blog.
Around her city she traveled snapping
pictures of Doors.
Surely that must be a bore.
Gazing at her pictures of
big ones, small ones, all shapes colors galore.
How unique I thought...maybe there is more
I started paying attention to doors.
My mind's eye suddenly had snippets of life
behind each door.
The door on a structure is like a smile on a face.
Each either says welcome come in or send you
scurrying to another place.

**The blog is no longer active.  However, if you are interested
in see lots of doors, click here

  7. Thanks! I'm glad you like my poem and I surely do like yours too my friend. I've kind of always had a "thing" for doors - it's the FIRST impression someone has of the occupants of a home....the door can be welcoming or like a neon warning sign! I've seen some incredibly creative doors in my many years. Thanks for being part of our Poetic Thursday fun....you are a "born poet" !!

    Love, Pam

  10. When I was in Dublin, Ireland, the thing back then was "The Doors of Ireland". I tell The Hubby that we need to get a new front door, but he's pretty blase' about it. He's such a guy!

  11. I've always found doors; regardless of where they are on a building, or what type of building they are on, to be interesting. It's funny, because I've noticed at least in my neighborhood, someone "changes" their door in some fashion and suddenly the ENTIRE neighbor does the same :) ☺☺♥♥

  13. I love your poem :) Doors are so inviting. The inspiration photo reminded me of the book "The Secret Garden" that I loved as a girl.

I am so sad that our fave basketball teams aren't playing anymore this season. I love March Madness.

  20. We like that poem and wish we had some interesting doors here. Too many too far from the road to see and mostly newer homes. Sigh
