  3. Your poem is spot on!
Coming from a family where deafness in old age is a problem, I'm very aware how hard this social distancing business will be for the hard of hearing.
    Cheers, Gail

  4. That is a lovely poem, and everyone would like a place to get away from it all.

  5. Love the poem.....that old house brings to mind so many thoughts and somehow the times we're living in adds a different nuance to our poetry.......that little cabin looks isolated which is how many of us are feeling these days! Thanks for being one of our poetry partners every week!! STAY SAFE........

    Hugs, Pam

  7. Good words you have written! Just love a front porch and it looks like it has a roomy back porch, too. I could be happy there... as long as it had indoor plumbing! And a Publix close!

  8. Excellent poem, if a bit sad.
I hope some wild animals are using that house for themselves now!

  10. the movie we watched last night was full of these houses, a whole village of them from 1865. when this little cabin came up my heart hurt for the people in those houses even though I love the house and the photo of it. your poem is perfect for these times and the photo.... my view was colored by the story I saw. it is The Free State of Jones.

  12. That's a great poem for that picture and for what we are living through right now. Maybe the hearing aid business will get a boost from so many people realizing they can't hear well enough.

  13. Once again, your inspiration is an outstanding piece of work! As is your springlike decor here at home in NC. Love the bkground & header.

Ya, I thought of you right away with the 'red' jewelry for the hunt. Wonder why? lol

  14. I bet there are lots of old stories from that little ramshackle house. But your story summed them up!

  15. Amazing how people used to live so far from each other!!

  16. I grew up far from the city. You could turn a circle and everything you would see was our land. It was nice.

    Love your poem.

Have a fabulous day, my friend. Big hug. ♥
