Awww Mondays and Sunflower Sparks

Janice and her hubby Al went to visit a friend...
Thank goodness Janice always has her handy dandy iPhone.
This gorgeous sunflower was standing proudly in their yard.
Janice is several inches taller than yours truly, who is 5 ft 3 3/4 inches, on a good hair day.
She had to look up to snap the photo
Her guess to the width was at least 12" maybe wider...

Decisions, decisions do I use this for Nature Friday...
Nope it is for sure a Awww Monday and I found a perfect Sparks too

  2. Beautiful sunflower picture. These plants always remind me of the time when a school biology teacher put the class into groups, gave each group some sunflower seeds and set up a contest to see which group could grow the highest sunflower by a set date. My group reasoned that if fertiliser makes them grow, then more fertiliser = taller plant. I think our poor sunflower suffered death by excess nitrogen poisoning!
    Cheers, Gail.

  8. My native sunflower plant is just beginning to bud, and it's at least twice as big as it was last year! It's growing at the corner of the house; I'm hoping the plant takes over a huge section of the yarden for years to come.

  10. Awww, I love sunflowers and that's a beauty. They do grow very tall too. Many years ago on highway 12 there was a sunflower seed farm. It was beautiful when all the sunflowers were all grown and beautiful.

Love your Spark and that's what I intend to keep doing. All this negativity is not for me.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week, my friend. Scritches to Dougie Dog and a bit hug to you. ♥
