We thank our Host LLB Gang and Comedy Plus
Feline Wisdom as seen on Mutts, by Patrick McConnell,
Mutts does not allow copy and pasting so I have recreated it
BECAUSE it reminded us so very much of Madi.
She loved beds and she loved to Meow. She meowed more her first day here than our first cat
meowed in all of his 14 1/2 years.
Below are the words that were in the cartoon panels
"No matter what yesterday was like, CATS always start a new day with a
MEOW"
MEOW"
Photo in the bottom right has always been a favorite. We did not witness how Diva Madi got in the middle of the pillows without any falling out of place. Some itty bitty paw prints on the green and white pillows gave us a clue.
Thanks LLB Gang for Hosting Nature Friday
On Friday October 30(the day after T.S. Zeta literally BLEW thru NC)
we took a most enjoyable ~hour walk (I stopped for lots of photos).
The trail was covered in a thick layer of pine needles from all the wind.
It was so thick I could feel it through my New Balance shoes.
It was a beautiful day and for once I will offer no commentary.

We were on the Shelley Lake portion of the Capital Area Greenway
All the water you see in the photos are babbling brooks, creeks and tributaries.
ENJOY
Monday we took this very trail...the asphalt trail is now covered.
oooh that would be the way for us... can you see da ice skating competition of our staff? hahahahaha

ReplyDeleteOH my word... first that lovely recreation with Madi... then that forest ramble - delightful... YAM xx
Flynn also had the loudest meow I have ever known.
ReplyDeleteThe walk looks lovely.
What a super walk in the forest. We too are familiar with those thick carpets of pine needles.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful spot for a walk! How we miss you, Madi♥
ReplyDeleteOh how I miss our sweet Madi girl.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful place. I wouldn't mind taking walks there.
Hope you have a great weekend.
What a gorgeous place for a walk. The fallen pine needles make such a nice cushion for walking, just like damp leaves do.
ReplyDeleteOf course, you know just how I feel about your angel...she was a beauty! And your trail walk...love the perspective of each & every one of the photos!
ReplyDeleteThat was fun with Madi and such beautiful scenery on your walk!
ReplyDeleteMadi was such a pretty girl. Cats do have indoor and outdoor voices. I had a cat once that rarely said anything.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful walk. I wish I'd been with you.
Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. Big hug. ♥
What lovely memories of Miss Madi. We would love to go on a walk at Shelley Lake. It looks like a beautiful and peaceful place to visit.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a wonderful location!
ReplyDeleteAll of our green is gone now; the bare trees don't block the soft sunshine.

ReplyDeleteYour tours are always so nice! We enjoy seeing them!
ReplyDeleteYou are having a lovely fall. Z cat hardly ever meowed. Hmmm, Madi was a talker♥
ReplyDeleteLove that view of the covered Trail. Absolutely gorgeous trees and I like that I can't see a man-made Trail. That is a priceless picture of Maddie in the middle of those pillows. Absolutely adorable
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful photos of your walk!! Stream reflections, pine needle covered walks...I can't even pick a favorite shot!
ReplyDeleteOf course, your recreation of the Mutts comic starring Angel Madi really stole the show!
We would just love to roam through all those leaves on that trail. So pretty.
ReplyDeleteHope you all have dried out by now.
Woos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
What a beautiful walk in the woods!
ReplyDeleteCute angel Madi cartoon. Beautiful photos. XO
ReplyDeleteShe loves her bed the way we dogs do.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous place for a walk..............we sure do miss Madi - mentioning the paw prints on pillows reminded me that after Sammy left us, I was cleaning behind the couch one day and saw a couple of his footprints in the carpet....I've left them. Some things NEED to be forever.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam
Madi was quite the talker. She had a lot to say. Google Otter Personality. You may find Madi there. Loved the pic with her mouth wide open.
ReplyDeleteAngel Madi and Mutts cracked us up. Your autumn is lovely.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful area and we are so glad you enjoy it
ReplyDeleteI loved seeing Madi enjoying herself and telling the world about it! You sure have some lovely places to walk.
