  7. that is a truly amazing Magnolia tree, the largest i have ever seen. i see oaks here with limbs on the ground but not Magnolias. the house is beautiful, not to fond of the Odd Top, but lovely old house... it would be good in a spooky movie.

  9. That's an unusual looking house. I don't think we have any like that around here.

    You mentioned buzzards on your comment to our blog. Way back in the 60s, it was miraculous to see any kind of big bird like that. Now they're everywhere! The City of Rochester, NY has a problem with crows in winter. They come to roost in the thousands, and make a big mess. Sometimes fireworks are used to make them go away.

  16. Those are magnificent Grandiflora Magnolias. We have them all over here too. My favorite ever flowering tree. The blossoms when opened are, as you know as large as a salad plate or larger. Beautiful unusual home there too!
