Saturday Symmetry and Art

Random Building and deck seen from one of the trails we took in Early May

 Bridge to nowhere same trail

Artsy Symmetry all which ways

original taken on the former campus of Dorothea Dix Hospital
300+ acres smack in the middle of Downtown Raleigh.
The former hospital campus was purchased by the City of Raleigh.
Currently the buildings house many state and city offices
In the future (after mega bucks are raised or donated or both)
it will be turned into a Destination Park with all kinds of
opportunities.  I doubt very seriously this grand old tree will
be left standing but now she the center piece of this meadow

Feline and Nature Friday

Thanks Comedy Plus for hosting Feline Friday

Thanks LLB Gang for hosting Nature Flower Friday

Rocky loves his cube and his wand toy.
He said his Mom has great wrist action.

Janice my dear friend and roving nature photographer sent me this email Saturday May 30.
The photos were all taken with Janice's iPone.

Jason (her son) and Braydon (grandson) invited Al (her husband) to go fishing this afternoon and I went along to take pictures.  The pond was close to their house in Wendell and they were only ones there but they practiced social distancing. 😂.

Be prepared they are breathtaking

There is just so much to see and say about this cloud .
The sun radiating thru the 2 layers cloud...
I've never seen anything quite like this.

Look at the perfect reflection of sky on water below.
The cables seem to disappear turning into ripples

Thoroughly Poetic and Thankful Thursday #23

Today we join Two  SPOILED CATS
Angel Sammy and Teddy for their poetic pictorial poem.

Here is today's inspiration

Imaginary or real
I do not know
The glow, the sparkle
puffy clouds..
The warm yellow light on
 crescent shape sail.
All give me a feeling quite surreal.

Today I'm joining Brian's House for 2Thankful Thursday.
Hosted by Brian
I am so very happy and thankful to announce we were able to Dine on the Patio  at our very very favorite Saturday lunch spot last week, Seaboard Cafe.  Seaboard is a small, intimate cafe.  Combination of about 25  2 and 4 set tables inside.
And at least  the same number outside.
It was the first time we have actually eaten in away from home since late March.  We were so very worried about Rick and Staff during the closure.
Happy to see them back.

These 2 pictures from 3 or 4 years ago.
However just wanted to see where
their patio dining.  Only about 1/2 of the tables were set up
on Saturday.
Saturday there were no napkins or condiments on the table.
All staff were masks and gloves but their joy to be back
serving the loyal customers was obvious.

In Pursuit of Flavors: Salads

I thank Da Phenny and Chef Shoko for
hosting.

Today I'd like to share a very berry salad recipe
I rec'd from my favorite Jersey Girl Chelle
Several years ago she moved to Florida to
look after her parents.  She made this
salad recently.  It was a big time hit with all.

Four Berry Spinach Salad
I forgot to include the walnuts in the ingredients photo.
I toasted walnuts and slivered almonds.  What a delicious
salad.

Happy Tuesday Tale of staying busy

During our stay at home experience I have read a lot.
Started sorting thru photo albums that were at my Parent's home.
I finally felt comfortable going the the Dollar store in search of
some jigsaw puzzles.  I was Puzzled to discover they only had puzzles for
children.  Of course I bought a kitty puzzle.

It was only 48 pieces...LOL so I paced myself as I assembled it.  I also have a larger one of Minnie Mouse...YES I'll share when I do it.
Once I conquer kiddy puzzles I look for some adult puzzles.
I have  perfect place to work on puzzles and sort photos.
My husband had a huge cabinet built in his train room to store lots of boxes. In  the center of the cabinet, we set up our vintage turntable (early 1980's) it plays vinyls/radio combination.

As I mentioned on Thankful Thursday, today at 10 AM
JUNE 2, 2020 we are getting our very first haircuts since mid February.
Needless to say we are giddy with gleefulness.
And excited to catch up with Debra...she also is heavily involved in
TNR and fostering.

Last Tuesday we had eye appts that had been postponed from April.
Judging by their protocol, I expect
today's 2 pm, appointment for my routine dental visit to be a new experience.
From the little bit I was told on the phone, I understand, it is thorough.

I AM FINE WITH THAT.

So all this being said I might be MIA for several hours today.

Awww Monday Sparks with Kat and a funny

Please call my dad and tell him it’s time to turn on AC.
I had to find a fan, and stretch out on the cooler (but hard & uncomfortable) wood floor.
Do I look happy? 😼
