Thoroughly Poetic #1 Thursday and Wacky January Holidays

Today we join Two  SPOLED CATS

Angel Sammy and Teddy for their poetic pictorial poem.

Here is our inspiration

HELLO

Today is Old Rock Day
Ranger thank you for starting the wacky tradition again
I'll be pawticipating in the wackiness often.

In our heart of hearts, Dad of angel Madi and I are mountaineers.  Who live in the Piedmont (which means foot hills) of North Carolina.  Our hearts come alive when we see a hill.
In the spring and summer of 2019 we spent many days traveling around to see the sights in NC
today I present
Chimney Rock....a very very old Rock

Following information from the Chimney Rock Brochure
Chimney Rock is a 535-million year old towering monolith and has been an iconic focal point in Western NC mountains for over a century. There are panoramic 75 mile view of Hickory Nut Gorge and Lake Lure.  It is accessible only by a 26-story elevator.  You don't so much stop at Chimney Rock...as it stops YOU. Marvel at the beauty and majesty of 404 foot Hickory Nut Falls which is one of the tallest of its kind east of the Mississippi.

AND Ta Da another wacky Holiday is .......

We gotta tell you that is one cool rock! We live in the mountains and there (and were) some incredible (the miners blew them up - at the beginning of the last century) And after doing a large amount of looking, and calculating, we think you are @#! (Numbers are not always as they seeem).
Happy Birthday dear friend! Love Barb

  19. Why, anyone can see you've just turned 27, dear Cecilia! Happy Belated Birthday, my friend!! It's cool to see Chimney Rock in your post, especially since it's basically in our back yard. We call Asheville our home, but truthfully we're actually east of the city by just a bit, and Chimney Rock is a quick drive from our home. We hope you had a wonderful birthday.

  20. A VERY Happy Birthday! Dad has been to Chimney Rock several times and loves the whole area. Great poem too.

  21. Well my goodness...no wonder we see eye to eye. But that aside, I would love to see Chimney Rock. Every time you write I know more and more and see why Charlotte isn't the only place to be!

  22. Amy: Hoping you had a very good birthday and wishing you a very happy year, no matter your age.
Xena: I think Miss Cecilia must be 535.
    Lucy: No way. She's 404.
    Xena: No, no, that's a computer error code. I think she's 75.
    Lucy: Huh uh. 26.
Both: Happy 26th birthday, Miss Cecilia!

  24. There are certainly a lot of details like that to take into consideration. That is a great point to bring up. I offer the thoughts above as general inspiration but clearly there are questions like the one you bring up where the most important thing will be working in honest good faith. I don?t know if best practices have emerged around things like that, but I am sure that your job is clearly identified as a fair game. Both boys and girls feel the impact of just a moment’s pleasure, for the rest of their lives.
