Happy and Tasty Pizza Tuesday

Hosted by Comedy Plus

Last week we made home pizza, but we used Pillsbury Pizza crust.
It was a fun activity and got us out of our 'box'!
Left top ready to eat, right all toppings on about to cook
While my husband sliced and diced onions, g. peppers and mushrooms (bottom left)
I was making a very simple an delicious pizza sauce, he is spreading it bottom middle
pepperonis added and grated cheese.

As we stuffed our faces we congratulated each other on a very tasty and fun supper.

Sauce Recipe if you are interested

Kathie, Woo Momster  and I were recently chatting via email.
She mentioned making pizza.  I asked if she made her crust.  She raved about Pillsbury so I tried that.  She gave me a most helpful hint about pizza crust.
After you grease the pizza pan, lightly sprinkle with corn meal...this is a
hint she found to keep the center of pizza crust from being soggy.
We were thrilled with the crust...delicious.
I normally only buy canned tomatoes w/o added salt; however, I could not find crushed tomatoes w/o sodium.  This Wegmans w/basil is a keeper and a new discovery.

  4. Cool! You have a chop-a-matic hubby too. Mine thinks he's a food processor. We had a homemade one a couple of weeks ago and used a Pillsbury crust. We were pleasantly surprised at how well it turned out.

  5. It is one of the big disappointments in my life that Gail never has pizza (home-made or otherwise) at home. Perhaps this post will encourage her to change her ways! After all, I understand that when a single human tackles a pizza there are quite often some dog-friendly left overs, and I would be more than happy to help out.

  6. for those of us with bread addictions, the crust is the most important of all... this sounds delish, just leave out basil and oregano..

  7. We had pizza Sunday night. We make our own too and it's ever so delicious. Yours looks like ours. It seems we like the same kind of pizza. I'm not surprised.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

  8. That sure looks yummy. We don't think the pizza bones are as big as the pizza we buy hot from the store though. BOL!

  10. Oh YOUM!! Your pizza looks so terrific! Mom is hungry now. We make pizza every week, but we can't use tomato sauce (our human brother is allergic). Mom uses pesto and this means that we turn into vultures! We purrticularly like the Feta and shrimp ones! (Sometimes we use the Pillsbury crusts, thanks for the cornmeal trick we will try it). Thanks for coming and visiting us and Have a marvellously Happy Day!

  13. Well, what do you know? Mom and Dad had pizza tonight and they both love it. Dad has pepperoni and cheese on his share and Mom has peppers, onions, mushrooms, broccoli, olives, and sometimes she adds pineapple. We get the bones because Mom tries to leave some of the edges without sauce. Glad you enjoyed the pizza.
