Tuesday This and That

I have an 8 am dental appointment today.  The 25+ year old crown that came loose last Monday has to be replaced.  Today there will be a 3 hour appt to remove old crown that was temporarily put back in last week, prepare the tooth for impressions to be sent to the lab. I'll be back tomorrow.

A follow up to a post on March 28, 2021

This photo was originally posted as "our favorite house" several of you asked about the sign on the stone wall to the right of the gate.  Saturday, April 3 we drove by the house to get a look at the sign.

Here is a close up.

  4. When you move into your new house, please set aside a room for one "old woman and her cat", upstairs, downstairs ~ any little corner will do!
And happy dental-ing, OMG, having total inside-my-mouth reconstruction now and over the
months to come, I do feel your pain and anxiety my friend! Hugs.

  5. Oh, good luck with that crown crap. Dad lost one recently and since there wasn't much tooth left decided to just have it yanked. As for that house- as soon as dad's done drooling over the keyboard I'll write that he wants to live in one like that. He says it's beautiful, and then ruins it by adding some stupid stuff about it making a great haunted place.

  11. I just went through this a couple of months ago. The dentist had a hard time getting the old crown out. The worst part is the impressions. Gags me something awful. I hope your visit is a breeze.

Love the flowers and the historic house and gardens. Beautiful.

Have a fabulous day and I know you will after you get home. Big hug. ♥

  16. We hope all the dental work went well. Mom has her first crown appt. Thursday. Well, it isn't her first crown, but it is the first appt. for this one. We are wondering if we are going to have to call her Queen Mom with that new crown:)

  17. Been there, done that!
Our dentist has a bird feeder outside the window, so the patient can watch the wildlife while waiting in nervous anticipation for the next gooey thing the doc will stick in your mouth for imprints.

  18. I have several crowns on my back teeth, the results of some very ancient fillings breaking down and cracking. It's a tedious procedure, but in the long run you save the teeth rather then end up losing them. Hope things went well for you.

We remember seeing that house in one of your recent posts. Did you get to take a tour of it? A couple of my friends in Florida love taking tours of those kinds of houses in old Southern neighborhoods. They are both writers, and those tours help them to imagine the surroundings for their stories.

  19. Oh, I gots my paws crossed for you!!! I hopes everything goes smoothly, and your new crown will be betters than the old one. They have those new kinds that are done in one day, butts my dentist said they are not for Ma...she would probably break them in no time 😂 Sendin' lots of AireZens and good thoughts! {{{hugs}}}
    I do loooooves that house!
    Kisses,

  21. We would move into that one. Dad got tired of all his tooth problems and had them all pulled. He regrets it, kinda, sometimes, but it has advantages.

  22. I've had the same kind of dental work done. It's not fun, but mine wasn't too bad. Hope yours isn't either.

  23. Thank you for letting us see the sign. You know, I also got to thinking that allowing any climbing vine on the face of the stone is inviting damage, even though it will take years to manifest. I'm surprised. Love seeing when the home was built and the wires name is so lovely if I was young and had a daughter, that would be a good choice to name her. It is so much in the times the home was built. The name I mean. Old fashioned now but very (to me) lovely.
