Awww Monday and Sparks

  Hosted by Comedy Plus

Can you see her?  She is always dressed to impress. After all, a red coat with perfectly spaced black polka dots is always in style. A lady bugs make me happy.  This little lady was originally spotted inside on my dining room window.  I dampened a paper towel so I would not harm her.  I placed it on the window she crawled right on it.  I took it to the back porch. Placed it by the plant, she paused a second or two the gently stepped to the leaf.

  1. we saw not one ladybug this year... we hope it doesn't mean that we will have another year without luck?

  2. What a lovely celebration of the ladybug (ladybird in the UK). But we haven't spotted any yet, here in Aberdeen.

...yes, if indeed WC had said anything of the sort, it would have been 'ladybird'... but the sentiments and meanings are fully appreciated! YAM xx

  5. Ladybugs are so beautiful and we used to see a LOT of them - not so much anymore though. They are our friends though and we should try to help them like you did when they need help!

  7. Ladybugs are lovely and deserve all our help. In Missouri the imposter Asian Lady Beetle has all but pushed the Ladybug out of existence. The imposters got into our house by the hundreds and left stinky orange trails on the walls and ceiling. Here is a link to the difference between real Ladybugs and the imposters... https://plunketts.net/blog/ladybugs-vs-asian-lady-beetles
I just don't want Ladybugs to get a bad reputation from being confused with the lady beetle imposters!

    1. Thank you! We get one or the other of these in every year, and now I'm betting it's the Asian Lady Beetles. I'll take a closer look next time.

  9. I love ladybugs! When my son was just a tiny little thing we were in a public place when a ladybug landed on his arm. He scream out "Look Mommy a ladybug, it's bringing me pleasure" lol. Everyone around cracked up. Of course what he meant was it was bringing him good luck.

  17. I like ladybugs but could do without the ones that bite. Lady is pleased with how her hair has turned out and says it is because the just trusts her stylist to do what is best!

  21. My husband must be like Churchill. He puts most insects outside without killing them. (There are some exceptions.)
