Ode to Canals
Peace and tranquility is found
dining by or floating down.
Soft glow of lamps or moonlight
Enjoying good friends, good times, good food
Time passes filling memories with smiles.

  19. What a pretty poem for a MORE than pretty place on the planet. Time seemed to stand still when we were there - we saw as much as we could in a short visit and I long to go back one day for more. It really is a special place. Thanks for writing a poem about my favorite place.............
