  1. Love the poem. "My minds eye see, even things far out of reach". So true.

  4. Excellent library poem. I know lots of people love their Kindles and all whatnot, but dad says there's nothing like holding a book, turning its pages, and reading the old-fashioned way. He says you can keep your electronic stuff.

  7. We love that poem and it just perfect for that picture. Books are great for taking us to places and seeing things we never would otherwise.

  8. I just hope younger generations will make the effort to read books too.

  9. Love your poem. My parents weren't readers, but I picked it up in school and the rest is history. There is nothing better than the smell of a good book. You can travel the world and never leave your chair.

Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday, my friend. Big hugs. ♥

  11. What a wonderful poem! I love it........and books really DO inspire us from an early age don't they. Maybe we get an idea of what we want to be when we grow up, or what part of the world we want to visit and things to see.......books are magical and I'm grateful I had a Mom who made sure I got my fill of the library. Well done my dear friend!!

    Hugs, Pam

  17. Mom always says that reading is the key to great success in any field. She too was/is an avid reader. But that place might have too many to pick from:)

  18. Most excellent poem for books! I love the feel and smell of a real book. I find them easier to read than a electronic book. For some reason they are easier on my dry eyes.
