 Today we join

I am thankful for thankful neighbors.

A few weeks ago I mentioned that I was  'Nanny' to may neighbor's flowers while they were on vacation. Last Friday, my neighbor surprised me with a box of assorted cookies 😋😋from Southern Sugar a Bakery just a few miles from home.

When upon this picture I quickly gazed,
my mind's eye
went into a foggy haze.

As I carefully looked,
left, right, up and down
My mind's eye focused on what I found.

A little girl with eyes of blue
Sharing her cozy nook
with furiends.
Welcome she said, now I'll read a

  5. How lovely you got a box of delish cookies as a thank you for plant-sitting! What nice friends you have. You also wrote a fabulous and fun poem for Poetry Day as well - and we kind of think that box of cookies would be a nice thing to have under the covers for storyime!!!!!

  21. That was very thoughtful of your neighbor. Watering plants is often as time-consuming as caring for pets, in my experience. I liked your poem, sweet and straight forward.
