Nature in my back yard and neighborhood
Photo taken September 10, 2021
This pansy and the greenery below it were planted Fall 2020. There were more pansies. Finally there was nothing except soil in the planter. Then
all of a sudden the greenery returned about a month ago along with an itty bitty pansy bud. Nature is amazing!!
Photo taken September 11, 2021 on a very EMW (early morning walk).
I heard a hawk in the trees turned to look just as it flew over to the roof of the house. Then (top right) it flew over to the street light post making a perfect landing.
you may biggify the collage for a closer look at this handsome Hawk.
Fun Felines seen at Logan's Garden shop
we love that berds a lot... the mama spent nearly 87 hours to watch them while they hunted in a field.... instead to let us hunt in that field... scandalous...
ReplyDeleteNice photos of the hawk.
ReplyDeletePansies are very resilient. I had some in hanging baskets years ago, and every summer since some always pop up in my borders and even in the cracks in the concrete.
We love pansies and like us, they love the cooler temps! Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteJust when you think the plant/flowers are done...then they perk back up.
ReplyDeleteThat's a big hawk.
I love the pumpkin cat.
That is a BIG bird!
ReplyDeleteHooray for that happy pansy!
Logan's has the coolest stuff!
Good Morning!
How fun to have that pansy pop up so late in the season. That sure is a beautiful hawk and we love all the kitty pumpkin art at Logan's.
ReplyDeleteLove the pansy and love, love, love the hawk. I love seeing them. They are so majestic.
ReplyDeleteLove the Halloween decorations too. Wonderful Feline Friday.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. Big hug, my friend. ♥
That pansy is absolutely amazing and I'm trying to sing it in the song the only little penzi in the onion patch. It's lonely and beautiful and strong. Love the pumpkin cats
ReplyDeleteThose are all such great photos, that hawk is watching you watching it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrific Hawk shot! Wowzers! And we LOVE the Halloween kitties at Logan's Garden Shop! And we are not sure if we said it or not, but we love your autumn header!
ReplyDeleteWe are raptor fans here! And one of my boys always says: Any day with a Hawk in it, is a good day."

Great photos, especially the Halloween scene. XO
ReplyDeleteYou are so right about nature.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty yellow pansy! We have some kind of evergreen tree that just started growing in an old flower pot. It's survived almost two years even after being left outside through the winter. We're still not sure what kind of tree it is.
ReplyDeleteWe're always glad to see hawks, even if the little birdies are not!
