Nature and Feline Friday

Nature Friday host LLB Gang  and Feline Friday  host Comedy Plus

Seen on one of my EMW.  Does anyone know the name of either of these?

Left photo: Our red bud tree (with heart shaped leaves) has little pea pod
adornments during the year  but this is not a red bud
Right Photo:  Thanks to my gal pal Ramona in MiSSiSSiPPi the
flowers are :
We call those surprise lilies here in MS. Lycoris squamigera, the resurrection lily or surprise lily, is a plant in the amaryllis family, Amaryllidaceae, subfamily Amaryllidoideae. It is also sometimes referred to as naked ladies. It is believed to have originated in Japan or China.

While taking the photos above,  I noticed this beautiful kitty sitting on the steps.
It looks a lot like Angel Madi

Decorations seen on an early morning walk

  1. we love the howl-oween edition... and we had the same thought as we saw the kitty... maybe a cousin?

  2. Halloween and Christmas make for the most interesting walks with all the different decorations around.

The structure of those flowers resemble the alium species - but the floral head is too loose for that - possibly a nerine? (no leaves is unusual). Shame the cat didn't know! YAM xx

  4. those long pods look exactly like wisteria seed pods. Usually wisteria is a vine. Some people manage to get it to be shaped like a tree.
