Nature Friday and Feline Friday

Nature Friday host LLB Gang  and Feline Friday  host Comedy Plus

December 6th we had a most rare and exciting sighting while trekking around Shelly Lake.    Four great blue herons in one spot.
We were some distance away but I zoomed in...clicked quickly.
We walked to a cove just on the other side the the trees hoping for a closer view.
Two flew off.

Seeing one makes me smile
Seeing four  makes me lucky

  6. That is pretty cool to see four herons at once! We think we see the baby and he's not supposed to be born until Christmas.

  7. What a wonderful sighting! So beautiful and graceful they are. And of course dad had to go ahead and ruin my reverie by saying all he sees in the picture is leaves that need to be raked up.

  9. Your neighborhood is FULL of creative folks - always wonderfully kept yards but when there's a special occasion or holiday - they do a wonderful job with so much to see and enjoy. Love the masks in the Nativity scene.....

  14. I haven't seen a heron in several weeks. They must have migrated south. There are still lots of geese, though! The wise men with masks are funny. In these days of covid, they wouldn't have even been allowed to visit!
