Every year on Thanksgiving Angus Barn has TURKEY as main entrée .

This year, was our fourth Thanksgiving  meal with them.  The first two years, 2018 and 2019 we enjoyed their delicious buffet.  2020 we were in the very parking lot above waiting in line for our take out only Thanksgiving meal.  

The  menu is always traditional Thanksgiving and it was delicious. 

However, this year we tried new desserts!!

Thanksgiving 2021 was our first dining experience inside since our 50th anniversary on February 14, 2020. The Angus Barn has been serving folks from near and far since the early 1960's.  They know how to do things right.  Everything properly spaced for comfort and safety.

Last week early morning Roxy was bouncing up and down SHE
went out to see what was going on.

Obviously the kitty was flirting with one of her 9 lives.

Roxy can get really bouncy.

Judging by the directions the geese were flying they were coming from Lake Lynn  to Shelley Lake. Approach was a bit confusing too many honkers and no leader

Friday Friendly Fill-Ins: Ellen from 15and meowing came up with the first two and her co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

2. My favorite Christmas song is Modern: Christmas In Dixie by Alabama. Classic: Angels we have heard on High.

3. If you ask me, ’tis the season for Chocolate.

4. Our daughter's first Christmas 1972 is a holiday memory I’ll never forget. She was 16 months old wearing red pjs.  When she saw what Santa brought,  she put her hand over her mouth and squealed.

My very furry nephews, Kat, Pup, Rocky and Mom Kit asked me if they could share a Thankful Today.  Rocky sent me this email and photo.

I just want to let all of our wonderful Furiends know that our Dad had a mild stroke several days ago. He spent a couple days in the hospital, and is now resting comfortably at home. He has made amazing progress, and will hopefully make a full recovery. We are all taking good care of him.

Needless to say, we are  busy keeping an eye on Dad 'D' and napping with him.  Mom Kit is busy looking after everyone.  We might not be sending many emails for a while.  Auntie HiC will be in touch with Mom

daily.  She will keep you posted.

Pup, Kat, and I take turns keeping our eyes on him.

While having lunch with my friend, Janice, last week I saw this painted on the side of a building.  The gorgeous tree is a bonus

Then I saw this  adorable pup.   He was certainly a smile to me.

The owner went into Chick fil A for about 1 minute to pick up a take out.  She secured the leash loop under the chair leg. Put him in the chair and said stay.  It looked as if he was considering his options

He decided to stay.

In early November, we had some sprucing up done to the outside of our house.

Power washing and we had the front door painted.  For the last 20+ years anytime we had the house painted we had the door re-stained.

We selected 7 color strips from Sherwin-Williams 

Immediately 4 were eliminated.  We taped our 3 favorites 

by the door to see what caught our eye

This year we decided we needed a pop of color...and oh are we happy

The color is called Dignity Blue and it gives to door dignity
