Saturday Symmetry

This home is across the street from the home with the stone staircase.
Lots of tall Pines in our 'hood.  The pink tree is a very rare pink dogwood.

this photo was taken on a recent ride about. More stately tall trees and notice the pink azalea  peeping thru.

Next photo is from a trek in the 'hood
Some people feel a need to cut their Crepe Myrtle trees back way too much
It is good to prune them but we call this

Crepe Murder to the Crepe Myrtle

  1. All I cut back is the dried seed pods from ours. I love the view of the "forest".

  5. I have never seen or heard of cutting a crepe myrtle back like that. Maybe they are going to just take it out. Love the setting of the white home with all the pink in bloom, very pretty. They must like white... white car too!

  10. That looks horrible. WHY would they DO that! I know what they think the reason is, but I'm with you. We have pink dogwood out the kazoo here. Red is rare for us. But we have that too.

  15. Will that crepe myrtle come back from such a severe cutting? Even if it did we doubt it will look very good.

  16. Spring is in the air. The Japanese maple is lovely! The ducks are fun. We had a pair in the puddle of the driveway one morning! Lee and Phod
