  1. Cecilia and Gail have something in common. Did you know Gail even picked up a couple of mosquito bites during her recent trip to Dunoon!

  2. I am the same, I get bitten by everything going! The horse flies are the worst though and there seems to be an abundance of them this year.

  3. Hari OM
Black-eyed Susans; I think how it works is they attract the bigger (better?) polinators that gnosh on the mozzies (or their larvae) - such as dragonflies. Other good repllent plants are things like lavender, rosemary, and lemon balm. And they are pretty too! YAM xx

  4. I know this is going to be hard to belive but I have not been bitten by any skeeters since we moved to Florida. I don't go out after sunset if I can help it. I have been bitten by No-See-Ums and ants. I love Black-eyed Susans

  10. With the Texas drought...no skeeters!! They're lying in wait for the first rainfall. I read that marigolds are good bug deterents.

  11. I don't get bitten by those nasty skeeters as much as poor David does.....he gets huge welts from them. We both have Type O blood and that's their fave snack!

  12. Our dad is a skeeter magnet, but our mom isn't. We pups don't get bothered by them much but we do hate those biting flies!

  14. We haven't had many mosquitoes around here so far this summer. I guess because it's been really dry.

  15. Mosquitos tend to prefer Grandpa and Aunt Ally to my momma and Grandma.

  16. Mosquitos are evil, known to carry, in various parts of the world, everything from malaria to heartworms. We're glad to hear that nature has created something to repel them!
