Feline and Nature Friday

Nature Friday host LLB Gang  and Feline Friday  host Comedy Plus

Hidey ho one and all I missed all and will be catching up over the next few days

We were visiting friends in Boonville, NC, which is about 1 hour from Boone, NC.

Sir Charles insists his friends call him Charlie.  Charlie decided when he was a kitten he wanted to live with our friends.  He belonged to family down the road.  He was always at our friend's house.   His original owners told our friends it was ok if Charlie wanted to live with them.  They had him neutered and vaccinated. He is now 7 years old and helps tend the vineyards.  I have more photos I'll share of Sir Charles aka Charlie.

The weather was refreshingly cool and they skies were so pretty
Picture of our friend's 'hobby' vineyard.   After they retired for teaching, they decided to take a few classes at Surry Co. College to learn all about growing grapes.  Years ago it was twice this size but they 'hobby' quickly turned into work so he downsized.  Once  year in late September he opens the vineyard up to
'pick your own'.

  4. I'm glad Charlie was given a home at your friends. My 1st dog belong to an elderly lady on the street over from ours. He kept coming to our house. I kept taking him back. I finally asked my father if I could have him. She was glad to give him to me.

  15. Charlie is a cutie. That is a beautiful vineyard. Grapes are a lot of work. My hubby can barely handle the dozen concords we have. XO

  20. What a great t-shirt. A vineyard of any size seems like quite a project. Hopefully the downsized plan is working out better for those folks.
