In Memory of Queen Elizabeth II on Nature and Feline Friday

An avid lover of Animals and Nature.

My sincere condolences to the United Kingdom
I admired her for her devoted service to the country she loved.
She was the such a graceful and beautiful lady.

I met a new friend on one of my early morning treks...

Box turtles are official state reptiles of four U.S. states. North Carolina and Tennessee honor the eastern box turtle.[24][25][26] Missouri names the three-toed box turtle.[27] Kansas honors the ornate box turtle.[28][29

DownUnder Feline fun from

SHE, Roxy and Dui sent me this video of their resident feline,

Naoise, playing feline ping pong in the tub

  2. Gail says: Here in the UK we are waking up to the unfamiliar thought of have King Charles as our Head of State. The Queen has been one constant throughout my life and at a time when much in the UK is unsettled, her steady presence will be much missed.

Thank you Miss C... there's a kind of a hush over the Hutch and it's town this morning which we think is a symptom of the shock if yesterday's news. What a fun we video to brighten things up - and gotta love a turtle! YAM xx

  5. I can't imagine anyone being more loved than the queen. She was a beautiful lady! I don't see hardly any box turtles here - only the painters because of so many ponds.

  9. The Queen will be hugely missed. She was the only monarch of my lifetime* and was a wonderful lady who never wavered in her duty to the country. Although we knew it had to come it feels unreal.
*Her father died when I was a few months old so I have no recollections of him.

  10. Very sad about the Queen. She truly will be missed.
We have all kinds of turtles in Missouri. I miss them. On The Tiny Ten we were always picking them up and getting them across our rural road to the other side... always where they were headed.

  12. Graceful and a Lady are such good descriptors, she will always be the Queen of Hearts. Love the tub hockey, that's so much fun!

  13. Although because of her age we were not surprised, Queen Elizabeth's passing is still a bit of a jolt. We imagine that feeling is more so with our friends across the pond. Love the cat video. That's a smart place to play with a ball since it can't roll under anything and hide.
