Thankful for Thoroughly Poetic and Parrot Thursday #96

hosted by the adorable felines at Brian's Home

I thank Brian for hosting Thankful Thursday
I Thank My BRYAN for taking me on a short trip Thursday December 1, to show me this beautiful display in Cary, NC.  The parrot sculpture is huge.
It sits in the courtyard of The Fidelity Bank and Trust Company
I would love to tell you more about this beautiful display.   Gigi Google usually has some information but not this time.  Maybe since it is new they are working on an info page.
My Bryan told me they were not there on
November 23rd.

Today is Poetic Thursday hosted by our pals Teddy and Angel Sammy

at Two Spoiled Cats

Thank you to Angel Sammy for finding the best photos that always inspire us.

In true K9 fashion

It makes nos sense
It's mission

  1. Gail says: in my experience, dogs are amazingly good at squeezing through pet flaps that look far too small for them!
Those ginormous parrots are truly amazing.

Love your wordplay for the prompt today - and those 'parrots' look to be a depiction of Budgerigars to me. It will be interesting to discover why they were chosen for this purpose... YAM xx

  6. One of the things I enjoy the most on our walks is watching bow follow his nose! Those parrots are absolutely fantastic! I tried to find something about him and didn't find anything either. I guess you'd have to have the name of the person who made it they're really amazing and I love love love that dog poking his head through the hole and your poem is perfect

  14. I had to see if I could find out more about the parrot/budgies but couldn't. I did find this though. Various pieces of art have been appearing and then disappearing again in Cary NC. It could be related.

  16. That is the most unusual nature sculpture I have seen. As a used-to-be-bird person with a parrot, love birds, cockatiels, and parakeets, I appreciate it. Vast amounts of travels over seas changed all that. Came back home finally and became a cat person.
