Feline and Nature Friday with Pup

  Nature Friday host LLB Gang  and Feline Friday  host Comedy Plus

"For a cat, just like that an ordinary day becomes extraordinary"

 Oh Dear, Oh Deer! Mom loves coexisting with the all wildlife here, including wild turkeys, black bears, raccoons, opossums, foxes, deer, bobcats, chipmunks, (not the coyotes, but we respect their space).

The deer have NEVER been interested in eating the ivy, until NOW!

Mom took me out for my evening business last week, and there was a HERD of deer in the yard!
I was on leash, or I would have showed them who’s BOSS!

The deer took off,  but not before making a buffet out of the ivy, leaving only ivy stubs and their good prints.

The backyard  (and drainage hose) was  completely covered with ivy, before the deer munched and dug around.

Mom and I spent the day spreading fresh mulch.

Ooooooooh no 😱Pup‼️ Da deer we very lucky you had mom on a leash or you would’ve been up in their dear deer faces.  Thank you for reminding Auntie of a nursery rhyme/song from 1943 that her mom used to sing.
I know your Mom knows it too.  It had an unintelligible lyrics that were decrypted
Title Mares Eat Oats/Mairzy Doats

Inspired by an old traditional English rhyme for children, “Mairzy Doats” is a 1943 composition by Milton Drake, Al Hoffman, and Jerry Livingston.The unintelligible lyrics of “Mairzy Doats” have a very pleasant melodic line and can be decrypted as “Mares Eat Oats”.  Click here to hear the song

Here are the lyrics:

Marezedotes,
doezedotes
littlelambszedyvy
kidzedyvy too.’

Lovingly your Auntie HiC😍😘

Mares eat oats;
Does eat oats;
Little lambs eat ivy;
Kids eat ivy too.

Thoroughly Poetic Thursday #59

    Two SPOILED CATS,

Angel Sammy and Teddy find such inspiring photos for us

Here is today's inspiration

When I saw this tunnel, I immediately recalled walking thru this tunnel at Chimney Rock in the N. C. Mountains
The elevator 26' shaft which was blasted through solid rock (is called Henderson Gneiss)
through the rock to the elevator which you can see at the end.
The cool 198 foot tunnel stays at a comfortable 55-65 degrees year around.
WHY because the elevator only holds 8 folks at a time and depending on the time of day/month your wait can be rather long and stuffy.
Once on the elevator your ride up 26' is 32 seconds to the Sky Lounge.

Once you exit the elevator you walk thru the gift shop.
THEN are greeted with a ton of stairs up to the top of the observation deck

Now for my poetry
Tunnel Vision

Down the corridor we walked;
Excitement grew as our mind's eyes anticipated the
sights we'd see
Every view breathtaking from atop
Chimney Rock.
We were up high where the eagles fly;
Old Glory standing proudly
in the Blue clear skies
Fresh air with filled with scents of nature.
Beauty from the mountains to many towns
and all around.

March 2018

My name is Madi
but I am not catty!
When my din din is not ready,
sometimes I get 'maddie'
I never wear booties
but sometime I wear hatties!
We have reached the end of this
madi-ness.

Dr. Seuss thanks for all the gazillion hours your work has delighted, taught and nurtured children.

Here is another ditty in honor of Dr. Seuss' day.

Socks on the floor for me to explore
Socks  in a drawer from the store,
Socks  in my nose
that should be on her toes
Socks here and there.
A hoarder she is furever more!!!!

Respectfully submitted
by Madi and Mom just two Senior

My offering this year is

Happy Tuesday at Seaboard and Logan's

Thanks to our

How many of you are wondering WHAT IS BEHIND THE RED DOOR on the right side of the collage?  I could just let you think it is a RED.  However, from day one of blogging it was all about fun, laughter and never ever taking myself seriously
So below is the rest of the story
Lesson learned, when I see something beautiful aka pillows be sure to look at surroundings before I snapping.
I piZapped in the red door.  See original photo below.

I think I might suggest Logan's paint the men's room door
