Our Hostess with the mostest
Saturday, April 29, I posted this
photo is from a trek in the 'hood
Some people feel a need to cut their Crepe Myrtle trees back way too much
It is good to prune them but we call this
Crepe Murder to the Crepe Myrtle
Many of you thought Crepe Murder was appropriate.
On my EMW (early morning walk) on Sunday, May 1
I went by to check on the tree.
Today's photo was taken on June 17
As you can see, it is full of leaves. No buds yet.
Probably due to the severe pruning it won't bloom as early as
more mature trees that were not severely pruned.
Crepe Myrtles love hot humid weather.
In June, they show off with beautiful blooms.
This is a photo of our Crepe Myrtle
Speaking of Crepe Myrtles one of ours had one branch so heavy with blooms
my resident garden had to cut them to keep the limb from breaking
He put the cut limbs in the flower pot out front for a pop of temporary color
Dearest Auntie HiC
Psssst, can I tell you a secret?
As much as I love napping on Dad’s lap,
I must say Mom's tummy is much softer. Love from you Nephew Kat
😹😹😹😹
Dearest Tabby Nephew Kat....
first of all you look absolutely precious!
In spite of the name, mouth of the south, that my northern cousin gave me many moons ago,
I can keep a secret!! I will zip up my lips and throw away the key.
Lovingly Auntie HiC
