If I awoke to such a MESS,
my mind's eye would be in over drive.
Whomever did this CONFESS!
I tried blinking twice,
It did not help me UNSEE
I think I'll call Haz-Mat
That will relieve my STRESS.

I could never leave my kitchen looking like that. Everything needs to be in its place before I go to bed. Love the lit hoops!

stacked up with food on them
garbage piled with the plates,
in our family we never leave food on plates, you take it you eat it. and I have never left dishes in a sink, much less on a counter. it even hurts me to leave a few spoons/knives in sink with a glass or too. years ago i had a friend who had 6 children, that meant 8 people at the table most of the time. they would eat and get up and go sit in the living room, leaving everything on the table. food and all. before they went to bed, put food away and leave the rest on the table. I know this because when we were going shopping, I would stop to pick her up and it was all there and she would say I can go until I clean up the kitchen. My answer was get in the shower and I would go into attack mode and by the time she was dressed it was done. OH MY WORD, I may be having a panic attack just looking at the photo

ReplyDeleteI could never leave my kitchen like that, I'd be worried about ROACHES. We don't have any inside that I have seen but I wouldn't want to tempt them. I don't leave any dishes or food in the sink, on the counters or on top of the stove. Yes!... I'd call HAZMAT but actually I would whip it into shape!
That poem is perfect for that picture and how our mom would feel if that were in her house! Those rings look much better all lit up. That would be fun to see all the light show before it goes away.

If I ever saw a mess in the sink like that, somebody would be in BIG trouble! And those hoops of light: I wonder if the blink or do some kind of display? It must be fun for the kids to run through.

ReplyDeleteMom wouldn't let us help with all the dishes from our Christmas crowd. 8 adults and 6 teenagers made for a lot of dirty dishes. We could have licked them clean in no time at all:)
