My husband took a mini road trip to
Debbie's Hallmark Card Shop for the Truffles
No more Baskin Robbins Ice Cream stores in our area
BUT we found an excellent replacement in the frozen dessert section at
Harris Teeter Grocery Store.
2 pieces of Chocolate Creme Ice Box Cake
2 pieces of Key Lime
We'll both get a taste of each.

Happy Birthday, Cecilia! MmmMmmmmmm... the pies! I don't think I have ever had a truffle. But I think I will have to go to the Publix and get some kind of Edwards Pie today. Enjoy your day today and eat good FOOD, you have a good start there!
ReplyDeleteHarris Teeter (when I get to Charlotte) has their own brand of Vanilla Ice cream that is as close to homemade as you can get. NO weird ingredients at ALL. I'll ask Bruce to tell me exactly what the box says so you two can try it. Each time I go there...I always expect him to have some in the freezer. We make hogs of ourselves eating it. It is so free of additives that just like the real thing is supposed to do...when it melts, it's runny. Not that foamy nasty stuff the other ice creams made with the notebook page of additives added. There used to be brand called Donald Duck brand, I think it was..years ago when the kids were toddlers, that I once I left in the sink as I couldn't stand it...and it was truly and actually still in its form when I got up the next say. I showed my husband and told him to not buy that stuff again.

I am so sorry I missed telling you Happy Birthday yesterday. We hit the road getting horse feed 1st thing. Then had 22 bags to unload. Got that done and off again. Had 5 storage units to get cleaned out. Made 2 dump trips and several trips home.
