Kit, Mom of Pup. It was set in auto post for Happy Tuesday.
The 3 of them truly had a wonderful trek.. as you will see.

However, it is with a very heavy heart I share this:
Monday, May 29, 2023 at 9:45 AM, I received a text from Kit...telling me that dear, precious Pup had passed away in his sleep. Kit and David are devastated. Pup was full of life. He was about 8 years old. He was not sick...he was having a wonderful time. We are all heartbroken. I was going to take this post down. However, I wanted to let his friends see that he spent his last days full of love and fun and enjoyed every single minute.

Dearest Auntie HiC
We took our Kia Soul off-road on Roaring Fork Forest Service road,
Dad knew we wouldn’t make it to the top due to snow, but it was an adventure.
I could taste the fresh air & feel the sunshine on my face!
Springtime in Colorado is magical!
Mom said to tell you all,
"Pup had such a good time. He has loved going EVERYWHERE we go!"

April 24, 2019 was Pup's gotcha day
Kat sent me this email about his new brudder.
Dearest Aunty HiC,
As you’ve heard, I have new fur-bro of the canine purr-suasion.
About 10 days ago, my peeps saw this precious pup wandering on the road, they opened the car door
he jumped in the car.
These two photos were taken just after my Peeps came home with Pup and set him up in the garage
He had a mark on his neck where there might have been a collar that was too tight.
Mom gave him a new red collar
Pup was loved. He lived a lifetime in his four years with
Kit and David. He took two cross country RV trips

This is devastating news and my heart goes out to Kit and David. What a shock for them, to lose dear Pup so suddenly. But also what a fine life Pup had with his adoptive family.

ReplyDeleteBroken-hearted for Kit and David and Kat and Rocky over this news. I'm sending them prayers, thoughts, and hope as they make their way through this incredible shock and grief. He traveled in the wheelie house and every day was filled with fun new things. At home he had an outside that was full of all the wonders that nature could provide and he had Kat and Rocky. I like to think they thought of him like their big brother. I hope that Kit's and David's hearts are eased by the fact that Pup knew such a happy and wonderful life with them and that he felt their love every minute of every day. Cecilia, as hard as this was for you to type this sad news, thank you for letting us know. I also know you are there for them. Pup, you will be missed♥

ReplyDeleteThat is just so horribly sad, we all loved that sweet Pup and that happy face. I'm so glad he got to enjoy the life he was looking for when he was found but I'm so sad it was so short. Hugs and love to the special family of Pup from all of us.

We're so sad to read this news about Pup. He sure enjoyed the final years of his life, which were full of fun and adventure. Our paws are crossed, and we send warm hugs to his family.

That was one lucky day for him when they opened their vehicle door and their hearts to him. How and why do things like this happen? We send our deepest sympathies and love to Kit and family/furamily.

ReplyDeleteOh, dear, that is ever so sad, to loose your beloved Pup, with no warning at all. But he lived life to the fullest, and he must have been so grateful to be rescued on that day back in 2019.

DeleteI am so so very sorry to read about Pup. Bless his precious heart and I am devastated that he has flown away to the Bridge leaving his mommy and Daddy.
