Awww Monday with Mia da Tortie

 Thank you to our

Host Comedy Plus

On Friday, July 14, Queen of Tuxies, Katie Isabella had a most interesting post about a new loo her mom bought for her.

All of us owned by cats KNOW any change in their world needs Prior approval.

Well that reminded me of the saga going at the home of Favorite SIS and BIL of Angel Madi

My Grandkitties

Mia my, Tortie with a 'tude, grandkitty, has a real beef with her pawrents.

About 4 weeks ago their dishwasher leaked on their hardwood floor in the kitchen.  BIL turned off the water and he and a buddy tore out the wet floor down to subfloor.  This is a picture of the mess before the subfloor was put in.

FYI all kitties in the house were sequestered upstairs during this mess.
The real floor will be put in by professionals, today Monday, July 17.

HOWEVER FOR THE LAST 4 WEEKS MIA HAS SPOKEN TO HER MOM SEVERAL TIMES ABOUT A PLACE IN WOOD SUBFLOOR. THERE IS A KNOT IN IT THAT WAS NOT THERE THE REAL FLOOR. MIA CONTINUES TO SIT AT THE KNOT SEVERAL TIMES A DAY SPEAKING HER MIND ABOUT IT AND PAWING AT IT.

MY DAUGHTER SAID IT HAS BEEN JUST PLAIN FUNNY WATCHING MIA.

Frisco da Ginger Man takes everything in stride. He is ignoring Mia and her 'tude

Thank you

FYI: The picture Black Eyed Susan's in my header was taken at
Logan's. Picture of the flowers in the top left was taken at
Reynolda Gardens.

  1. Ahh, I would laugh too, and earn the complete disdain of Mia (and any other kitty), of course. Obviously Mia should have been consulted about the sub-floor before it was installed. I wonder what she'll say to the new flooring after its installation today. :-D

  2. Nobby, who for the first time ever this week spent the night in the same house as a cat (two cats in fact), is firmly of the opinion that they can be very annoying and thinks Mia should stop making such a fuss!

  3. hope they can finish up today.. that would be a lot annoying for sure, with a floor like that. of coure i couls use it for Kitchen is closed, no cooking! lets hope there are no new things in the completed floor to make a torty talk

  5. What a terrible situation the leaking dishwasher left for your daughter and SIL. That's so funny that Mia doesn't like that knot in the wood. BOL!

  6. That's a big job and no doubt Mia should have been included in discussing the plans! I hope we get to see the new floor in place.

  9. That it is a funny Mia. She is a kitty after my own heart. Thankfully it is a "flaw" in the subfloor and not the real deal floor. Mia does seem to be confirming the attributes of torties. I am excited for SIS and BIL of Madi to get their floor finished today! That's been a bit of a wait. Same amount of time our roof tiles have been sitting on our driveway blocking Cooper in the garage. No news of when the tiles will make it to the roof! Three of our neighbors are waiting too!

    1. Hey, Inspector 12! I had forgotten about that~

  12. Mia, you deserve a Commendation! You are on the spot (literally) and your mom will never have to be concerned about Security as you can spot the hidden spy network in an instant! Ginger Man however, ids as are most Ginger men, blasé about what damage a knot can do! Tell 'im, Mia! Oh Pee Ess. I went into and out of the new loo quickly. Took me till much later to actually use it. I had not been consulted!

  13. Oh Mia, that's too funny, our Kiki would be doing that too!

  14. It sounds like Mia is very, very aware of her surroundings and doesn't want any changes!

  15. This is a reminder that nothing gets past a cat - Not even a knot in the wood! 🥰

  16. A hole in the floor can be rather exciting OR rather bothersome and we hope the new floor reappears ASAP! Then Mia can move on from the knot in the wood to something else!!

    Hugs, Teddy

  17. That looks dangerous! But the new floor is probably in by now, as we are late reading this (bad Mommy!). And here we thought all those pretty flowers were in your yard, BOL! XOX Lucy, Chia Xena and Riley
