Serene Sunday

This time of year I like a little added brightness to the house.
I recently found a string of 50 LED lights for our mantel, AT LOGAN'S of course.
I've wanted something like this for years; however, I wanted them to be battery operated. There is an electrical outlet by the chair. I didn't want a cord hanging.  I vacuumed off the mantel then put them in place.  Nestle in the lights are our normal Christmas mantel decorations.  After Thanksgiving,  I will replace the fall flowers with holly and evergreen and the fall candles with Christmas Candles.
The carving of Angel Madi on top of her box is always there.  I say good morning to her each morning when I enter the room and good night before bed.

  1. Your mantel looks lovely. Mini lights add such a wonderful glow. I have a few strings of warm white lights up and on now, to stave off the gloom of impending winter. 🙂

  3. I like it, it adds just a bit of a glow which is nice on dark days and early evenings. The little box where your angel is would be something that you could never go without.

  6. In spite of the fact that Lady thinks it is too early for anything inside that is festive (she may be a little grinchy), she joins us in loving that. Lee and Phod who are kind of glad to be waiting so they don't get overly hat taxed.

  10. I love the mantle and the white tiny lights. They set everything off beautifully. And you know, I saw good morning to Angel Admiral too. She is on the dresser just beyond the bed. What sweetness knowing Angel Madi is up there and has a beautiful sculpture representing her. .

  13. Looks beautiful........I have Sammy's box next to my side of the bed so it's the first thing I see in the morning and the last thing I see at night. I never knew that you had a gorgeous "boat print" over your fire place.......WE DO TOO! We are twins! HAHAHA
